I’ve found a hidden gem in Ebisu that every Tokyo expat needs to know about 💆♀️✨
Kozy Tokyo is tucked away in a quiet residential area, offering expert facial treatments with seamless English communication. I tried their signature Christina BioPhyto Herbal Peel and the results were instant – that lit-from-within glow we’re all chasing!
What makes this salon special? The intimate atmosphere, knowledgeable therapists, and the feeling that you’re visiting a trusted friend rather than just another busy salon. Perfect for building an ongoing skincare relationship in Tokyo.

⭐️Is the cult-favorite Takami Skin Peel Essence worth the hype?
I spent 3 weeks testing this gentle Japanese “peeling water” to find out!
This fragrance-free, alcohol-free essence promises smoother skin and minimized pores with daily use - but does it deliver? After consistent morning + night application, I noticed:
🌟 Smoother, more refined skin texture
🌟 Subtle but noticeable glow
🌟 Less visible pores
🌟 Zero irritation (even on sensitive days!)
The catch? It’s pricey at ¥4,290-6,500 for just 30mL, and results are gradual rather than instant. But if you’re looking for a gentle daily exfoliant that actually works without the harsh effects of typical acids…
My full honest review (including pros, cons & alternatives) is live on the blog! Link in bio 💙
**Rating: 4.5/5** ⭐

A-Z of J Beauty... Collagen is a pretty familiar term in beauty and wellness these days, promoting skin elasticity and firmness. It occurs naturally within the body, but unfortunately it depletes with age.
Collagen powders and supplements are all the rage it seems, praised for their anti-ageing powers. However, there isn’t a lot of research that suggests ingesting Collagen can halt the signs of ageing.
There are some ways to help maintain the skin’s collagen levels as the years go by.
🌸 Vitamin C can a deeply pe*****te the skin and boost its ability to produce collagen, improving elasticity and helping it remain plump.
🌸 Amino acids work to stimulate collagen production and reduce the appearance of fine lines to help maintain a youthful glow.
🌸 Laser treatments are also an excellent solution to increase collagen levels and improve the skin’s overall health.
How do you increase your collagen intake?

A-Z of J Beauty... Bamboo is used in many forms and is well know as an evergreen plant through the world.
Bamboo is most commonly used in charcoal skincare, where it is incorporated into facial cleansers. The deep cleansing properties suit acne prone skin, as they are gentle on dead skin cells and absorb and detoxify into the skin.
The scent of bamboo is incredibly popular for its crisp warmth.
Have you ever used bamboo products?

Ever wished for a product that could envelope your skin in a creamy layer of moisturising goodness? Especially in spring, as we leave behind stuffy warm rooms, extended use of heating and dry, dehydrated skin.
Well, the latest innovation in the Momo Puri skincare range delivers just that.
I have shared my knowledge and testing of the product on the Tokyo Beauty Book blog.
