Chalazion is chronic sterile inflammatory lipogranuloma of the Meibomain gland.

Aetiology:
It is caused by the obstruction of the or***ce of the Meibomian gland either by infection or due to unknown causes.

Clinical Features:
More common in upper eyelid. Painless gradually increasing swelling in the eyelid.
Small nodule in the substance of the eyelid palpitation indicates.
Vision blurred due to astigmatism caused by the large chalazion.

Complications:
Mechanical Ptosis.
Astigmatism.

Treatment:
Self-resolution
