Sisterhood

For 2 years, I have not had the strength to come back here.

2 years in a row we lost 2 wonderful sisters who were a great support and source of encouragement to the Sisterhood community.
I honour the legacy they left and I remember them every single day.

As we come to the close of this year, I want to release that pain. I read somewhere that the human body can withstand up to 45 units of pain. Yet, during childbirth, a woman can experience up to 57 units of pain. That's the equivalent of having 20 broken bones... all at the same time. Never tell a woman she can't do it. Remember that only she can dance with two hearts inside her. Only she has known how to breathe with four lungs. Only she has carried the weight of two worlds in her womb... and given birth to a new life.

Don't you dare tell her she's not up to it :-) Because she was born to overcome the impossible. A woman can do everything.

This was January this year. We were laying our Sister Lucy to rest.
Besides the portrait is our Sister Florence in red and white. A great pillar in this Sisterhood ministry.

Today this afternoon, saddest news.
We have lost our Sister Florence for eternal glory. It's hard to take this.
I pray for strength Lord.

She is both tender and fierce, a woman of indomitable will.

A strong Woman knows she has strength enough for the journey,
BUT... A Woman of strength knows it is in the journey where she will become strong.

Be a strong woman so your daughter will have a role model and your son will know what to look for.

Release your chaotic thoughts that try to take over your mind. It’s never too late to start over, never too late to be happy.

You’re going to go through tough times, but you can always grow from it.

See the positive in negative events. Those who move forward with a happy spirit will find that things will always work out.

Happiness comes when you let go of things that make you sad. The greatest lessons come from the greatest mistakes.
As long as we allow ourselves to learn them.

The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past. You can’t go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches. No one can go back in time to change what has happened. So, work on your present to make yourself a wonderful future. Give yourself the fresh start you deserve.

You can spend your time wishing for a better life, but you should spend your time working on a better life.
Find peace in what you cannot change.

Today we are laying my beautiful sister to rest. Thank you Jesus for the time you gave us Lucy as a gift.

Good morning dear ones.

Prayers and condolence service started yesterday at our Sister Lucy Ndirangu's home at Mutathini near Kagumo teachers college, Nyeri, Kenya. The prayers will be held every day at 4pm until Tuesday 3rd. The burial will be on Wednesday 4th January 2023.

We request us to give generously in order to give Sister Lucy a befitting send off. As SISTERHOOD family we shall send our contributions to Sister Wangui Karani Douce-Kui Wa Bishop Mkuu

My heart is troubled 😢 😭
My god-daughter lost her mum yesterday. She had escaped death on her way to Mombasa, now upon her return, death snatched her away from us.

It's painful, it's discouraging, death where art thy sting????? The two young, lovely daughters left behind...God's comfort ❤️
