Fire in Mangaf Building Kills 43, Mostly Indian Workers..

At least 43 people, most of them workers were killed after a fire broke out in a building housing workers in the Mangaf area on Wednesday. The incident occurred around 6 am. The fire department has identified a buildup of deceased and injured individuals in the stairways used for escape. The building has 6 floors and is occupied by 196 workers. Some of the deceased will be identified through forensic evidence using biometric fingerprinting or DNA fingerprinting.
Meanwhile, the Indian Ambassador to , Dr. Adarsh Swaika, visited the Al-Adan hospital where over 30 Indian workers injured have been admitted. He met a number of patients and assured them of full assistance from the Embassy. Almost all are reported to be stable by hospital authorities. #الكويت
