MONROVIA, Montserrado County – Yeakeh Sayequee, a loyalist of Vice President Jeremiah Koung, has issued a public response to Ms. Tabitha Kogar, daughter of Nimba County Senator Samuel G. Kogar, following their earlier exchange over qualifications and competence.

In his statement, Mr. Sayequee said he built his reputation through hard work, dedication, and determination, and claimed to have made a positive impact on many lives, including Senator Kogar, who has directly benefited from his support.

“Everything I have today is something I earned through genuine hard work and perseverance,” he wrote.

“Unlike your father, whose career has largely depended on government positions, I have built opportunities outside of government.

In fact, outside of public office, I could employ him to work for me.”

Mr. Sayequee urged Ms. Kogar to stop the unnecessary chest-beating,” adding that “Your father knows my capacity and ability.”

The exchange marks another public escalation in the ongoing rift between supporters of Senator Kogar and Vice President Koung within the Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction.
