Last night at the Ministry of Law & Justice dinner at Mpilo Boutique reminded me why I refuse to give up on myself. ✨

Hosting delegates from across Africa, hearing the compliments, seeing people smile, laugh, and genuinely enjoy the atmosphere I created… it healed something in me. For a few hours, I wasn’t fighting my mind — I was simply walking in my purpose. 🎤

A lot of people don’t know this, but I’ve been battling depression, and one thing I’ve realized is that my work saves me. Being on stage, speaking, connecting with people, bringing life into a room… that’s where I feel most alive. That’s where I remember who April is.

So when guests from different countries kept complimenting my confidence, energy, humor, and presence, it meant more than they will ever know. Because behind the glam, the laughter, and the microphone is someone choosing every day to keep going.

Thank you to everyone who trusted me with such a prestigious event. Thank you for seeing my talent, for believing in me, and for allowing me to do what I know I was born to do.

And honestly? I want more work. More stages. More rooms to light up. More opportunities to show the world this gift God placed inside me. Because one thing about me — no matter what life throws at me, when that microphone touches my hand, I become magic. ✨

Some days I’m exhausted. Some days I question everything. But quitting? That’s one thing I don’t do. I’ve failed, I’ve fallen, I’ve had to start over more times than I can count, but every time, I come back stronger. I’m not afraid of failure because I know who I am. I know what I carry. And I know I’m destined for greatness.
