✨ Room conditions
✨ Professional application

After that, retention is influenced by many factors we can’t control—your aftercare, skincare products, hormones, medications, oily skin, and even your natural lash growth cycle.

That’s why two clients can receive the exact same set from the same lash artist and still have completely different results.

Instead of looking for someone to blame, it’s better to work together. Great retention is a combination of a skilled lash artist, good aftercare, and your individual biology.

✅ How to fix it⁉️

✔ Check your attachment
Make sure the extension is attached with at least 2 mm of contact and there are no gaps between the natural lash and the extension. The larger the contact area, the better the retention.

✔ Match your attachment angle
Different natural lashes need different attachment angles:

* Top attachment – downward-growing lashes
* Side attachment – straight lashes
* Bottom attachment – curly lashes

✔ Use the right amount of adhesive
Too much glue isn’t good—but too little glue can also cause poor retention.

✔ Work with fresh adhesive
Isolate first, then dip the fan into fresh glue right before application. If your adhesive cures before placement, switch to a slower adhesive or improve your speed.

✔ Control your room conditions
If your room is too hot or humid, use air conditioning or a dehumidifier to slow the curing time and improve retention.

✔ Always start with clean lashes
Give every client a lash bath before the appointment. Clean lashes create a stronger bond and better retention.
