Saree pleats and fold:

Hello 2026 brides, if you want a neat and perfect pleated saree, here are a few tips:

- GET YOURSELF A PURE SILK SAREE. Do NOT go around buying semi silks/crepe/tussar/cotton/benaras silk sarees.
They are okay, maybe more budget friendly but you cannot have this finish.

- make sure you have added saree falls in the saree, it gives extra support to fluffy pleats, and also protect your saree from being damaged from your footwears or patli.

- wear a shapewear petticoat, our grandmas used to wear those loose tunnel shaped cotton or satin ones, it's out of fashion and the side pleats simply do not hold on them.

- find yourself a good tailor for your cholis, it makes a huge difference on the chest pleats and moundani and also gives a neater finish overall.
