Constipation Is More Than Just a Digestive Problem
Many people think constipation only affects the digestive system but it can also be a sign that your gut is not functioning at its best. Your gut plays an important role in your overall health, including digestion, nutrient absorption, hormone balance, immune function and reproductive health.
A healthy gut helps your body absorb essential vitamins and minerals, supports a balanced gut microbiome (the beneficial bacteria living in your intestines), and assists in eliminating excess hormones through regular bowel movements. When constipation becomes chronic, waste remains in the intestines longer than normal, which may contribute to gut imbalance, bloating, inflammation and reduced absorption of nutrients that are important for healthy hormone production.
Poor gut health has been associated with hormonal imbalances and conditions such as PCOS. Many women with PCOS also experience digestive symptoms, including constipation and bloating. Although constipation does not directly cause infertility, it may be one sign that the body needs better digestive and hormonal support.
If you regularly experience:
Chronic constipation
Bloating or digestive discomfort
Irregular menstrual cycles
PCOS
Difficulty conceiving
Don’t ignore your gut health.
Supporting your gut with a fibre-rich diet, drinking enough water, regular movement, quality sleep, and managing stress can help improve digestion and create a healthier environment for hormone balance.
Remember, fertility is not only about the ovaries and uterus. It is influenced by your whole body—including your digestive system, hormones, metabolism, nutrition and lifestyle. Taking care of your gut is one important step toward supporting your reproductive health and preparing your body for a healthy pregnancy.
At Farah Massage Therapy, we don’t just focus on one issue—we look at your overall health. We consider factors such as your gut health, hormone balance, lifestyle, nutrition, circulation, and other underlying concerns that may be affecting your well-being and fertility.
Our goal is to support your body as a whole, because true wellness comes from addressing the root causes, not just the symptoms.

Stop worrying so much about increasing your AMH—start focusing on improving your egg quality.
Many women think that a low AMH means they can’t get pregnant or that they need to increase their AMH first. But that’s not how fertility works.
AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone) is simply a marker that estimates how many eggs remain in your ovaries. It tells you about your egg reserve, not whether your eggs are healthy.
Think of it this way: imagine you have a basket of apples. Having a basket full of apples doesn’t mean every apple is good. What matters is whether the apple you choose is healthy.
The same applies to your eggs. You don’t need dozens of eggs to become pregnant. During each menstrual cycle, your body usually prepares one egg for ovulation. If that egg is healthy, it has the potential to be fertilized.
That’s why the goal isn’t just to have more eggs—it’s to support the health of the eggs you already have.
Egg quality is influenced by your body’s overall environment. Good nourishment, healthy blood circulation, balanced daily habits, quality sleep, stress management, regular movement, and supporting your reproductive health all help create better conditions for healthy egg development.
Your eggs take around three months to mature before ovulation. This means the choices you make today can influence the quality of the egg that will be released in the months ahead.
Remember, pregnancy doesn’t require a large number of eggs. It only takes one healthy egg, released at the right time, to create the opportunity for conception.
Don’t focus only on the quantity of your eggs. Focus on giving your body the best environment to produce the healthiest egg possible.

Lots of people are dealing with a bad cough at the moment. If you’re looking for a simple natural remedy to help soothe your throat and calm a cough, you can try this traditional honey and onion syrup.
🍯 Honey & Onion Cough Remedy
Ingredients:
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2–3 tablespoons of raw honey
Directions:
1. Place a layer of onion slices in a clean jar.
2. Cover with a little honey.
3. Continue layering until all the onion is used.
4. Cover and leave for 6–12 hours or overnight.
5. The onion will release its juice, creating a natural syrup.
How to use:
Adults: 1 tablespoon every 2–4 hours as needed.
Children over 1 year: ½–1 teaspoon as needed.
⚠️ Important: Do not give honey to babies under 1 year of age.
This remedy may help soothe a cough and irritated throat, but it is not a cure for the underlying illness. If your cough is severe, lasts more than a few weeks, or is accompanied by difficulty breathing, a high fever, or chest pain, seek medical advice.

Could chronic inflammation be affecting your fertility?
Many women trying to conceive focus on ovulation, hormone levels, fertility tests, or their age. While these are important, one factor that is often overlooked is chronic inflammation.
Inflammation is the body’s natural response to protect and heal itself. However, when inflammation becomes long-lasting, it can affect the body’s natural balance and influence reproductive health.
Chronic inflammation may contribute to:
Hormonal imbalance
Poor circulation to the reproductive organs
Reduced egg quality
Irregular ovulation
Menstrual discomfort
A less balanced environment for conception
Inflammation does not always have obvious signs. It may present as:
Bloating
Digestive discomfort
Brain fog
Fatigue
Poor sleep
Heavy or painful periods
Spotting
Irregular menstrual cycles
General body aches
When the body is constantly working to manage inflammation, it may have difficulty functioning at its best. Supporting the body naturally is an important step toward restoring balance and promoting reproductive wellness.
Natural fertility treatments focus on improving the body’s internal environment rather than treating only the symptoms. The goal is to encourage healthy circulation, support hormonal balance, promote lymphatic flow, reduce pelvic congestion and help the body function more efficiently.
A holistic fertility approach may include:
Fertility massage to encourage healthy blood flow to the pelvic area.
Abdominal therapy to help release tension and improve circulation.
Lymphatic drainage massage to support the body’s natural cleansing processes.
Natural herbal remedies selected according to each woman’s individual needs.
Traditional natural therapies that help restore balance throughout the body.
Lifestyle guidance to support reproductive wellness from the inside out.
Every woman is unique, which is why natural fertility treatments should be tailored to the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
At Farah Massage Therapy, fertility is not treated as a single symptom—it is approached by supporting the whole body naturally, helping create the best possible environment for reproductive health and overall wellbeing.
