Your sauna isn’t just in the wrong spot — it’s fighting three battles it doesn’t need to fight.
Basements trap moisture. That’s mold, warping, and repairs years before they should happen. Open, ventilated spaces let the sauna breathe — and last.
A hidden basement stall doesn’t market. A visible wellness space does. It raises what the whole property is worth.
And a sauna nobody shares is just a box. Put it somewhere people can gather, sweat together, plunge together — that’s contrast therapy the way it’s meant to be experienced.
Three reasons. One decision. Get it out of the basement.

Most condos & hotels tuck their sauna next to the bathroom or bury it in the basement — damp, moldy, and honestly the last place anyone wants to relax.
Move it to a communal space instead. Let residents and guests gather, sweat together, then hit a cold plunge right after. That’s contrast therapy — heat, then cold — and it’s the wellness feature every property should be designing for in 2026.
