Charlie Bug Season Is Back! ⚠️

Recently, we have been seeing more patients with skin problems caused by Charlie bugs, also known as rove beetles. These insects do not actually bite or sting. However, when they are crushed or rubbed against the skin, their body fluid can cause significant skin irritation, redness, burning sensations and blisters. 😭

⚠️ Tips!
1. If you notice a Charlie bug on your skin, do not slap, crush or rub it.
2. Gently blow or brush it away.
3. If contact occurs, wash the affected area immediately with soap and clean water, and avoid scratching or breaking any blisters.
4. If the rash becomes severe, spreads, develops signs of infection, or affects the eye area, seek medical attention promptly.

Sejak kebelakangan ini, kami menerima ramai pesakit yang mengalami masalah kulit akibat terkena Charlie Bug atau semut Charlie.
