Whether you're joyful, sad, confused, or something ir between, God's presence is with you and He wants to talk to you today.

"To everything there is a season,

Isaiah 40:31
But those who trust the Lord will find new strength. They will be strong like eagles soaring upward on wings; they will walk and run without getting tired.

"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil." Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

Prayer
God, I am not always sure what the future will bring. But 1 know that You have a plan and purpose for my life. Thank You for guiding and protecting me. As I continue to follow You, I will not be afraid-instead, Remind me of your commandments. I will trust in You.

Anxious Hearts

There is a lot of anxiety and worry in the world around us. We are worried about the quality of our future, the security of our investments, or the threat of sickness or war.

Anxiety and worry aren't just things that happens around us, but something that can also happen within us. We struggle with anxiety over our future, our family, our finances, our career or our personal health. We are focusing more and more in our worldly status and life security, and less and less in God.

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:2

Scripture tells us that while there are some things that are within our control, most things in life are outside of our control.

So more often than not, we spend time
worrying about things we have no control over.

Scripture tells us that trust in God should fill the gap between reality and what we desire.

We should not be anxious about the things we cannot control, but rather we should submit everything to God in prayer. He alone has control over the unknown.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Philippians 4:6

We also noted that in Psalm 4, we can lay down at night in peace, free from anxiety and worry. Even though we are surrounded by danger, we can place our trust in God. That leads us to sleep peacefully in safety.

"In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety." Ps 4:8

The quality of our sleep is often a symptom of our trust in God. If we are anxious and restless at night, it could mean that there are things we're not trusting God with.

"Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." Peter 5:7

Spend some time considering our own heart. Are we anxious or filled with worry? Meditate on God's power and sovereignty. Ask Him to fill us with His peace and assurance that He is in control of our future. Continually remind ourselves of the promises that God has given us in Scripture.

"Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?" Matthew 6:27

God is big enough to handle our doubts, our worries, and our fears.

" And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:7

And always remember, "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33

PRAYER
God, I can sleep peacefully because I know that You love me and care about my future. So right now, I surrender my concerns to You. Give me peace filled rest, so I can rise joyfully and do all that You've called me to do. Let me surrender and submit my life to you. Your will and your plans are always good for me. I want to trust you wholeheartedly all the days of my life and bring you glory in all that I do. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Our Priorities or God's Priorities?

Sometimes in life we seemed like we were doing all the right things. We worship God and observed all religious duties. But we neglected the "true" heart of loving and worshiping God.

We might be doing many of the right things but, it's what we were NOT doing that drew God's ire. We failed to take care of the poor and needy or be compassionate or kind. We turned our eyes away from injustice, cruelty and abuse. We might even turn to idols for help, social media, ChatGpt, etc.

God told the people of Israel in the Book of Amos that it is just as important to be righteous inwardly as it is outwardly. We cannot say we love God and others when we fail to help people who are within our power to help.

Just as James 1:27 tells us true religion includes helping orphans widows and those who are in distress.

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

James goes on to write that faith without works is a dead faith (James 2:26).
"As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead."

In short, faith is BOTH believing in the Lord and doing the things He has told us to do.

Take some time to think about our own life. How much time do we prioritize on our own spirituality versus serving others?

What ways can we begin to take steps toward serving in our church, our neighborhood, or our school/work place in order to help those in need. All of these are ways that our faith becomes complete in Christ as we follow after Him.

Don't just say we love righteousness and justice, show it with our actions.

"But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never- failing stream!" Amos 5:24

Today, let justice roll through our speech, our decisions, and our influence. Let righteousness be the stream that defines our life so that people can see Jesus in us.

Matthew 25:37-39 NIV
"Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?"

Matthew 25:40
"The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ "

Do we want to hear God says,
"Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world."

or hear God says,

‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.".

PRAYER
God, You desire a world that is marked by righteousness and justice. Help me to be a part of shaping that world by living a life that is pleasing to You. Give me opportunities to make a difference to care for those who are hurting and needed help to reflect Your loving character. Help me not to harden my heart or turn a deaf ear or blind eye to people around me that needs kindness and compassion. Let the fruits of the spirit be shown through you and for you. In Jesus' name, Amen.

What Is Worship God?

Psalms 50:14
“I am God Most High! The only sacrifice I want is for you to be thankful and to keep your word/fulfil your vows)”

What is our word/vow towards God?

“Love the Lord your God with ALL your heart and with ALL your soul and with ALL your strength.”

Are we really loving God with All (100%) our heart, soul and strength?

CREATING SACRIFICIAL PERSONAL PRAYER ALTARS

1) Focus on The Presence of God
- Focus on the Father and the omnipotence of our Maker, not our needs or corporate agenda
- Do not turn God into a "prayer answering machine."
- encounter the presence of God, walk with Him, understand His heart & connect to God

2) God’s Agenda Not Ours
“What is God’s will?”.
- offer God our love, devotion and renewed minds.
- Seek and know what is God’s will and truly pray “His will be done on earth as it is in heaven”.
- His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are higher than our ways (Is 55:8-9).

3) Integrated Disciplines
In most prayer meetings, we sing a few songs and then go through a list of prayer needs. This can be extremely tedious, monotonous and unfruitful unlike Prayer Altars
- Come into God’s presence and sacrifice our praise and worship, hallowing His name.
- Read the word of God, probably, at least 10 chapters, be led into a holy adoration and hallowing His name.
- “purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God” (2 Corinthians 7:1). Deep repentance and consecration, which normally comes after a time of praising Him.
- After repentance, we are cleansed (1 John 1:9), then we can intercede
- seek His face and He will show us great and wonderful things, prophetic purposes on earth.

4) Changing Spiritual Atmosphere
Allow the Holy Spirit to change the spiritual dominion atmosphere surrounding us. Let the Word of God pe*****te us

Why is humility before God so important?

What will it mean for us to humbly surrender ourself to Him?

Children of God should humbly sacrificed our time and resources for others, leading to lives being saved.

"Who am 1, Lord God, and what is my family that you have brought me this far?" (1 Chronicles 17:16). God is the one ultimately does the work of rescue and redemption.

Jesus "humbled himself" and made the ultimate sacrifice for us (Philippians 2:8). As He helps us, let's humbly offer our lives back to Him by helping those around us that needs help.

Today, as we reflect on the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus made for us, we can humbly respond in sacrifice to Him and others.

Let's await for the day where Jesus will said to us, “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ Matt 25:21

Lets strive to bring the love of Jesus into the world.

Prayer
Loving God, please help me to humbly follow where You lead me today.

Please show me where I've been wrong and help me pursue a sacrificial life, helping and restitute those that needs help unconditionally.

Loving Jesus, thank You for Your kindness to us, for Your salvation and care of us. Help us pursue kindness, even when it is unacknowledged. In the name of Jesus, Amen

Daily Walk With Our Lord

"The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth."Psalm 145:18

Most of the time, we struggled to keep up with our devotional times with God.

We need to take a break, a walk in a park, walk by a river taking in the scent of the flowers and listening to the gurgling water. We can sense God's loving peace, Jesus walking beside us, feeling at peace and filled us with joy.

We can walks and talks with God each day, rejoicing in His presence. "He is always with me!" The Psalms reverberate with this truth--God is with us.

In Psalm 145, David speaks praises to the God who is close to him and shares about His character:
"The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does" (Psalm 145:13).
God satisfies our desires (v. 16) and is righteous and faithful (v. 17).
And He is close to us: "The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth" (v. 18)
'My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever" V21).

This psalm specifically praises God for His generosity and goodness toward His people. One special feature is the many different words it uses for "praise": "exalt" v. 1); "extol" (v. 2); "commends" and "tell" (v. 4); "speak" and 'meditate" (v. 5); "proclaim" (v. 6): celebrate" and "joyfully sing' (V 7). Verse 8 extols God for being 'gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love."

We can echo David's praises to connect with God. We see the phrase "gracious and compassionate" attributed to Him throughout the Old Testament.

Exodus 34:6, “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness."

2 Chronicles 30:9, "If you return to the Lord, then your fellow Israelites and your children will be shown compassion by their captors and will return to this land, for the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him.”

Nehemiah 9:17, "....But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore you did not desert them."

Psalms 86:15, Ps 103:8; Ps111:4; Joel 2:13; Jonah 4:2

But we should not take advantage of God's graciousness and compassion by not walk daily with Him or spending time with Him.

Knowing God's character, we need to make effort to set aside 'devotional' time with God, constantly in the presence of God, experiencing his comfort, joy, peace, strength, etc

When do we feel close to God?
How can we build routines into our daily life to help us stay connected to Him?.

Psalms 23:1-4, 6
"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

Prayer
Gracious God, thank You for caring for me and enveloping me in Your presence. Deepen my desire to love and serve You.

Heavenly Father, in the challenges I face today, please help me to remember Your presence with me.

God, I'm so grateful I can come to You with any situation, knowing that You'll hear me. Today, I come to You with my questions, my concerns and my plans for the future. Please help me to listen to Your voice and trust Your direction and never fail to have daily walk with you! In Jesus' name, Amen.

Tell Of God's Loving Deed

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story those He redeemed from the hand of the foe." Psalms 107:1-2

The psalmist told his fellow Israelites to "tell their story" about how God redeemed them from their enemies. They had "wandered in desert wastelands", "they were hungry and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away" (Ps 107:4-5)

At times they rebelled against God, and God disciplined them (v. 10-12). Yet every time "they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,...he delivered them from their distress' (v. 6).

God has a love that will never let us go. Every time we repent, God is faithful and forgive us.

We too can take opportunities to "ponder the loving deeds of the Lord" towards us, give thanks to Him and tell our own story of His rescue.

What has God done for us to transform our life? Who can we share our story with?

"Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples." Psalms 96:3

Read God's Word each morning, and let it renew our mind! Count God's blessing in our lifes and worship Him. Ask God to show us where to go, pay attention to His nudges, His promptings, and the people He puts in our path. Let us not keep quiet and keep the good news to ourselves.

"Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life." Ps 143:8

PRAYER
You are so good, and what You've done for me is worth telling others about, dear God. Please give me the words and open my mouth to speak about You.

God, sometimes I struggle to see Your purpose and plan, but I know that You are trustworthy. I know that You are good. I want to start each day by truly trusting in You! Please help me to do that. Thank You for loving me, for knowing what I need most. I surrender my self-made plans to You. Guide my steps and show me Your way. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Father's Joy

"The father of a righteous child has joy; a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him." Proverbs 23:24 NIV

If you're a parent or a parent figure, you know that raising children can be one of the greatest joys we ever experience, and one of the biggest challenges we face. And if we are a follower of Christ, we likely feel an added burden to make sure our kids grow up to know and love God.

In Proverbs 23:24. the author points out that joy in parenting comes when our children are two things: Godly and Wise.

So how do we help our kids become more like Jesus and develop the wisdom they need to navigate the challenges of life?

While there are different ways, there are two to start with...
1. Find a Christ-centered community: As a parent, we will need to surround ourselves with a community that loves Jesus so we are not alone when raising kids gets challenging. If we don't have that today, commit to taking the next step in that direction-join a small group get connected at church, or invite like-minded friends over for dinner.

2. Teach kids to ask for help. Whether our children are toddlers or teenagers, chances are high that they love being independent. "I can do it myself" might be one of the most common phrases we hear.

It's easy to think that developing wisdom comes from doing it all on our own, but James 1:5 reminds us that God will give us wisdom when we ask Him for it. The best way to help our kids develop wisdom is to point them to the source of wisdom.
"If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." James 1:5

Model what it looks like to seek help from God by praying with our kids-even if it's uncomfortable.

"Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it." Prov 22:6

Parenting is difficult, but it can also be rewarding. So as we commit to the daily challenges and joys of taking care of kids remember this:

The greatest contribution you make to the world might not actually be what we do, but who we raise.

"Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him." Ps 127:3

What's one thing we can do today to help point the kids in our life toward Jesus?

God is the perfect parent, as well as the source of all wisdom. And we have access to Him!

When We live lives that honor God and value integrity, it brings joy to the people around us
"Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind." Ecclesiastes 12:13
Teach our children to fear God and keep His commanndment.

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction." Prov 1:7

PRAYER
God, I am so grateful that I can call You my Father. In Your presence, I experience wholeness and joy. You are the greatest gift I have ever received. Today, please help me to live from a place of confident assurance as Your loved child. Give me Your wisdom and make me more like You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Lust

What is the meaning of Lust ?
"have a strong desire for something"

What is the Bible's definition of lust?
- sinful longing; the inward sin which leads to the falling away from God
(Romans 1:21 ).

"Lust, the origin of sin, has its place in the heart, not of necessity, but because it is the centre of all moral forces and impulses and of spiritual activity." In Mark 4:19 "lusts" are objects of desire.

It is not a problem to have desire. To desire is to be human, to be alive. If we are not in touch with our desires then reveals an entirely different problem. However, desire becomes a sickness when it owns us. When it becomes the thing we believe we "must have" if we are to be fulfilled. Lust is the distortion (and ultimately the squashing) of the good desires God wants us to enjoy.

Scripture tells us there is a system at work in the world constantly scheming and conniving to replace God. This false system worms its way into our hearts through a variety of seductions. "For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world" (1 JoHN 2:16, NiT). The lust of the flesh tempts us through runaway cravings for food, s*x, addiction or social media. The lust of the eyes tempts us through our unhinged desires to gorge all we can on the ravenous pursuit for prestige, power and reputation. Lust is not only confined to s*xual relation.

"For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world." 1 John 2:16

Like a cancer, lust spread without us knowing. When we are in lust's fever, we are like a lost wanderer crawling across the scorched desert, all we can think about is getting to water. Lust promises that whatever we crave will fulfill us, but it never does. Only God has the power.

"Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." 2 Timothy 2:22

Whether we are attempting to selfishly use others for pleasure or to build our power or reputation, the self giving act of friendship counters this impulse.

"For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want." Galatians 5:17

"Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit." Galatians 5:25 NIV

"Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things." Colossians 3:2

"It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ." Titus 2:12-13

Prayer
Our dear heavenly father, help us to be strong in the spirit and say no to any ungodliness and worldly pleasures that draws us farther from you. Set our minds on things that is from you and not from the world.

Let our hearts be right with you, honor you and fear you, remembering that we will need to give an account on the things that we do on earth when we meet you. Help us to stand firm on the foundation that you have set for us and to focus on you, my God.
