🎼 A big "Thank you" to my piano Teacher Wendy Wendy for helping me to learn my favourite classical music piece by Franz Schubert Impromtu No. 3 in G-flat major!
Today we finally...finally reached the last page...did 3 bars...3 more to go and then the "bucket" can remove 1 number from the bucket list!
I bought the music score from Kensington Chimes in London. A great place for music scores...if you are looking for one.

One of the best journeys I have undertaken when the meaning of 'The God who sees all things" becomes Real, Relevant and Relational. 🪔
Time to re-think and re-focus the direction to take to continue to enjoy the presence of God in every moment of life.

Thursday, 1st October, 2026, IJN (National Heart Center) Kuala Lumpur 🪔
Today I celebrated my results of my heart checkup at the IJN after yearly visits and followup these past 15 years following heart surgery in August 2011. The Indian food banana leaf dinner I had never tasted so good!
I first thank God for the amazing grace God has shown upon my life these many years. God alone has kept me safe in His refuge and I thank God for this amazing grace. 🙏🏽
Secondly, I thank my senior cardiologist at IJN, Dato' Dr Amin Ariff for looking after my heart these fifteen years since August 2011. We have known each other since 1981 (45 years) since working together at General Hospital, Kuala Lumpur.🫀
Equally in partnership is my senior cardiothoracic surgeon Datuk Dr Azahari Yacob whose surgery and gifted hands is keeping me alive. 🫀
Next, my family who have supported this journey through prayers, love and patience.❤️
Friends. I have few. In particular Dr Pathman who jave sojourned with me in the faith through these many years.
My staff Merry moriaty and Heidi who prayed for each followup date at the IJN all these years.
Faith, steadfast faith in the Lord Jesus of Nazareth is the best anchor one can have through ALL the trials in life this side of Eternity. 🪔

These are moments in the 'Present' when Time and Eternity meet. During such moments, I am always reminded of the scholar C.S. Lewis who wrote: "The Present is the point when time touches Eternity."
It also is a time that 'Awakens my soul' to the faithfulness of God. 🙏🏽

Don't give up! My love for classical music is back in my teenage years. Later, it was my usual to do my surgery operations with classical music.
My operation theatre nurse knew exactly which piece to start the moment my gloves were on:
Franz Schubert's Impromptu No. 3 in G-flat major. Period!
Other favourites included:
Chopin Nocturne in C Sharp minor
Schumann-Lizst's Widmung.
So recently in London, my daughter Sarah accompanied me to Kensington Chimes to collect the music score of these three pieces.
Kudos to my music teachers who were so generous to help me learn from barely able to read the notes after 60 years or more.

Are you on GLP-1 Mounjaro? Talk to me!
Personally, it has helped me control my blood sugar, loose weight but I struggle with constipation. Hell...it sucks!
Again, one must control your diet and must exercise as well. In the beginning it did help me control my appetite but last 4 months my weight was stagnant at 86kg.
So, this morning I have started my first 7.5mg dose. Hope my gut does not go on strike!
Wish me luck. Target is 80kg.
If you have any advice how to minimise the side effect of a sluggish bowel...comment and talk to me.

To remember the past 8 years working together in my Plastic Surgery Clinic was fun, exciting and encouraging. Although our journeys, though different, are focused on
LOVE WELL, LIVE WELL, EAT WELL.
On this occasion we were comparing our body weights. I had lost 10kgs on Mounjaro 5mg, Merry too had lost considerable weight and Heidi had been fairly constant.
It was great fun and laughter. The attached pics shows how I trained them how to look when 'mad' and when saying 'bye bye'!
