Laser can improve pigmentation, but sometimes the skin may become darker afterward. This is known as **post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH)**.

🔥 Excessive heat or overly aggressive laser treatment
🧬 Skin that is naturally more prone to pigmentation
