Preventing Hypertension*
Hypertension is commonly known as high blood pressure.
High blood pressure forces the heart to pump harder so blood can reach to the whole body through the arteries.
120/80 is the normal blood pressure level. 140/90 or above is considered hypertension.
The reason of hypertension could be so many and varies from one person to another.
Hypertension could lead to heart failure, heart attack or stroke.
How do you prevent hypertension?
5 simple tips:

-Eat healthy diet

How do people get water intoxication?
Water intoxication happens when too much water enters the body cells. The water outside the body cells is more concentrated, therefore causing the cells to swell tremendously. Over-swelling of brain tissues can cause coma or death.
But what if I need to drink liters of water per day...
Need not to worry, the kidneys of an adult can process up to 15 liters of water a day!! It is not how much you drink, but how fast you drink.
If your body needs 5 liters of water according to your weight, practice to drink water every hour. After all, after deducting your 8 hours of sleeping time, that is only 313ml of water for every hour!!

Good morning! Did you “break” your fast?
Breakfast is the essential key to activate your body and get yourself ready for whole-day challenges.
Eating breakfast turns on your body engine by retaining your metabolism to the optimum rate so your body burns more calories instead of storing them. You could actually lose weight if you are eating right.
In addition, eating breakfast also improves your alertness and concentration throughout the day. Your immune system unintentionally will become better in preventing flu and colds.
The common sense is, you will feel more energetic and happy to start your day after eating breakfast!
Keep your breakfast simple yet nutritious. Select from the list below:
a) Whole-grain bread
b) High-fibre cereal
c) Oats
d) Egg
e) Yoghurt
f) Low-fat milk
Some useful tips for you:
*Food with higher amount of fats decreases your alertness, which leads to sleepiness. However, having small amount of fats in your meal could delay gastric emptying.
*High-protein food makes you feel full longer as the complex carbohydrates are slowly digested due to the fibre contained. Consume more protein if you are on a weight loss programme because while in the process of digesting protein, your body burns twice calories than it does when digesting carbohydrates or fats.
*Fruits when consumed alone are digested fast because they contain simple sugars that can be easily broken down. Therefore, eating only fruits will last you less than an hour.
