Mazu is the highly revered Chinese goddess of the sea and patron saint of seafarers, fishermen, and travelers. She is believed to bring protection, peace, and safe passage to those who navigate the waters.

Ma Hung Foodstuff Sdn Bhd (MHFSSB) was invited as an Advisor to join the celebrations together with Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian on the 9th of May 2026.

In conjunction with the Great Goddess Mazu’s birthday, Dato’ Tay Yung Hock, director of MHFSSB has donated 400 packs of rice and 500 packs of sugar as community service to help the Kuching people in need and together with Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, successfully distributed the rice and sugar to hundreds of the poor Kuching community in need on this day.

Dato’ Tay Yung Hock would like to thank the organisers for the opportunity to give back to the Kuching community on this auspicious day.
