I engaged in a conversation with an older gender of mine few weeks back(she knows I don't joke with water intake,as this is the first thing I do every morning).She holds the opinion that drinking water(specific hours or not) while fasting renders the fast invalid I was so shocked that my jaw was lift opened for some moments.

The pictures attached was taken in March 2020 during my first visit to Northern Nigeria(I got to the state late 2019 at the time the harmattan was already severe,you can now imagine the humidity of the time I had this shot).

Then,I practically wear double blouse cardigan with hoodie,jean trousers, socks and still cover with blanket to bed at night😁 the harmattan was that serious and I don't want to die young🤫.I'd started using nosemask because of cold even before coronavirus came.
people who knew me from school can testify to how much I hated cold( that's by the way).

I can still remember one Sunday morning during workers' meeting in church (it was during our annual fast)
one of the church ministers was advising us to stay hydrated considering the weather condition of where we were.In his words "please always take a glass cup of water first thing in the morning and when ever your body has need of it,God forbid you die all in the name of fasting".

The truth is for people in the western part of Nigeria,this might not be applicable considering their atmospheric condition.Before my relocation, I don't usually take water during fast but since I got here I had to re-orientate myself.I take water during fast (although occasionally)at strategic hours.

Lately, I noticed I wake up at midnight to take🤣I tag this as my new norm, maybe when another season comes this will stop but for now I have to accept this reality.God isn't unjust,don't kill yourself because you want to abstain from anything that goes into your mouth.

Wisdom is profitable to direct,I'm not advising you to abuse water intake during fast neither am I saying you must take water while fasting.You understand you body better than anyone else and you also know dehydration is detrimental to your health, but incase you don't know google as your friend can help you out.

May we not faint all because we are fasting o.

As I set out to work this morning,I sat between two ladies who were complaining bitterly about the intensity and hotness of the sun🌞 even at such an early hour of the day.In my mind I was smiling and saying thank God for the wonderful skin product I use it has been really shielding my skin from the harmful effect of UV rays.

These days,I can conveniently stay longer in the sun and still maintain my glowing skin because of the sun protection factor included in my routine.🥳
lately I have been intentionally taking a good look at people I come across and I discover 80% of them (both male and female) suffer from hyperpigmentation,this counter the false belief of skincare/protection is only for:

🌞Women and light skinned people only

WHAT IS HYPERPIGMENTATION?

Hyperpigmentation isn’t necessarily a condition but a term that describes skin that appears darker. It can:
🍂occur in small patches
🍂cover large areas
🍂affect the entire body

While increased pigmentation usually isn’t harmful, it can be a symptom of another medical condition.

CAUSES OF HYPERPIGMENTATION.
Hyperpigmentation is caused by an increase in melanin. Melanin is the natural pigment that gives our skin, hair and eyes their color.
A number of factors can trigger an increase in melanin production, but the main ones are; 🍂Sun exposure
🍂Hormonal influences
🍂Age and
🍂Skin injuries or inflammation.
Melanin is produced by melanocytes at the lower layer of the epidermis.As the body ages, melanocyte distribution becomes less diffuse and its regulation less controlled by the body.
UV light stimulates melanocyte activity, and where concentration of the cells is greater, hyperpigmentation occurs.

People with darker skin tones are more prone to hyperpigmentation.
HOW CAN I GET RID OF HYPERPIGMENTATION?🤔

😍 Avoid exposure to the sun. Use a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher to protect the skin and stop it from becoming sunscreen protection fortified with SPF protects the skin from the UV rays emitted from the sun

😍Avoid picking at the skin. To prevent hyperpigmentation from forming after an injury, avoid picking at spots, scabs, and acne.
😍 Stay hydrated,drink a lot of water.

PN: always ensure you wear a skin care products that contains Sun Protection Factor(SPF),this is always protect you skin from sunburn.

This is the removal of dead skin cells from the surface of the skin.Exfoliation is important because it;
