*5 EVERYDAY HABITS QUIETLY AFFECTING YOUR LIVER*

A client once told me:

β€œSir, I don't drink alcohol, so I believe my liver is fine.”

Fair enough.

But I asked him:

β€œWhat else do you do every day?”

Because your liver doesn't only have to deal with alcohol.

Some everyday habits can quietly work against your liver health.

*1. TOO MUCH SUGAR AND ULTRA-PROCESSED FOOD*

That constant soft drink, biscuit, pastry, sugary snack and highly processed meal may look harmless individually.

But repeated over time? Your liver has to deal with it.

*2. TOO MUCH MEDICATION WITHOUT PROPER GUIDANCE*

Some medications can affect the liver, especially when misused or taken unnecessarily.

β€œIt's just painkiller” doesn't mean you should take it carelessly.

*3. EXCESSIVE ALCOHOL*

Your liver plays a major role in processing alcohol.

The more and more frequently you drink, the greater the burden on the liver.

*4. BEING OVERWEIGHT AND INACTIVE*

You don't have to drink alcohol to develop fatty liver disease.

Excess body weight, poor diet and physical inactivity can also increase the risk.

*5. IGNORING YOUR OVERALL WELLNESS*

Poor sleep. Little physical activity. Poor nutrition.

We often treat these things as separate issues.

But your organs don't work separately.

Your liver is part of your body's bigger system.

And this is why I personally like having herbal support as part of a comprehensive wellness routine.

One of the NRI products I recommend in this space is The New Combine Herbal Extract (CHE).

It contains a blend of herbs traditionally used to support the body's natural cleansing and detoxification processes.

But remember:

A detox product cannot cancel out an unhealthy lifestyle.

You still need better food choices, movement, hydration, adequate rest and responsible use of medications.

Your liver works for you every single day.

Give it some support too.

If you found this useful, follow this channel for more practical wellness education.

And please share this post with someone who needs to see it.

You may be helping someone become more conscious of their health before a problem develops.

10 PROVEN WAYS TO FIX YOUR GUT

Your gut directly controls your brain, digestive process and a host of other functions.

When it’s out of balance, you experience chaos.
πŸ‘‡Here are 10 ways to fix it naturally

πŸ“ŒFIRSTLY WHAT IS GUT?

The gut, also called the gastrointestinal tract is made up of;
- Mouth
- Esophagus
- Stomach
- Small intestine
- Large intestine
- Re**um and a**s

Together, they’re responsible for digesting food, absorbing nutrients and removing waste from the body.

πŸ“Œ THE GUT MICROBIOME

The gut microbiome refers to the trillions of microorganisms that live in the gut (Both good and bad).

These microbes are responsible for the functions of the gut, and they’re directly linked to sound health and wellbeing.

However, sometimes the gut can be unbalanced.

πŸ“Œ The gut is said to be out of balance when the bad microbes are more than the good microbes.

This can lead to problems like;

- Digestive issues; Bloating, gas, diarrhea, constipation and acid reflux
- Weakened immune system
- Chronic inflammation
- Mental health disorders

πŸ“Œ WHAT CAUSES GUT IMBALANCE?

Gut imbalance, also known as dysbiosis can be caused by factors like;
- A diet high in processed foods, sugar and unhealthy fats
- Abuse of antibiotics
- Chronic stress
- Lack of sleep
- Sedentary lifestyle
- Excessive alcohol
- Smoking
- Drug abuse

πŸ“Œ 10 WAYS TO FIX YOUR GUT

1. Incorporate Probiotics

Probiotics are live microorganisms that help replace healthy bacteria in the gut, and keeps it in balance.

You can get them through eating fermented foods like;
- Yogurt
- Kimchi
- Sauerkraut
- Miso
- Tempeh

πŸ“Œ If you’re a Nigerian, you can get them from foods like;
- Ogi (pap)
- Fermented locust beans
- Fermented cabbage
- Fermented milk

You can also get them through supplements in strains like lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium.

2. Eat prebiotic rich foods

Prebiotics are.. non digestible fibers that act as food to probiotics.

Foods high in prebiotics include;
- Onions
- Garlic
- Leeks
- Bananas
- Asparagus
- Apples
- Oats

3. Limit processed foods

Processed foods contribute to inflammation in the gut.

Reduce intake of;
- Sugary snacks - Fast food
- Processed meats
- Carbonated drinks
- Foods containing artificial preservatives

πŸ“Œ 4. Stay hydrated

Water is important for maintaining balance of bacteria in the gut.

5. Manage your stress

Chronic stress impacts the gut negatively.

What can you do?

- Meditation
- Yoga exercises
- Get enough sleep
- Have a social life

6. Don’t abuse antibiotics

Antibiotics kill both good and bad bacteria in the gut.

Make sure to take it only when prescribed.

7. Limit alcohol consumption and quit smoking entirely

Excessive alcohol intake leads to inflammation.
Moderating intake is best for gut health.

πŸ“Œ 8. Take supplements like Zinc, omega 3 fatty acids and L-Glutamine.

They help repair gut lining.

9. Manage all underlying health conditions like irritable bowel syndrome or food allergies.

10. Exercise

Physical activity can increase the diversity of gut microbiome.

Aim for 30 minutes everyday.

A wise friend told me, we’re constantly sick because of the foods we eat, and the lack of intentionality in our lifestyles.

For healthy brain and body processes, your gut has to be in balance.

πŸ“ŒBottom line
- Eat healthy
- Exercise
- Rest more
- Avoid smoking
- Reduce alcohol intake
- Don’t abuse drugs
- Avoid ultra processed foods

7 SIMPLE DAILY HABITS THAT MAY HELP LOWER YOUR RISK OF DIABETES

No extreme diets. No complicated routines.
And no, it’s not simply about β€œquitting sugar.”

πŸ‘‡ Read this, save it and share it with someone you care about

πŸ“ŒFirstly let’s understand the fact that diabetes (especially type 2) is more than just sugar, it's about insulin resistance.

And this insulin resistance is basically like a girl who loses interest in a guy.

He calls and calls and she won't pick.

Whatever he does she's unresponsive.

The girl here is your body cells and the guy is insulin.

So if the relationship is broken, sugar will just remain in your blood.

That's why they call it "high blood sugar".

So to prevent this from happening, you should do these often:

You get it now?πŸ˜„

πŸ“ŒSo what are the ways you can prevent it?

1. Cut down on white bread, instant noodles, processed foods like sausage shawarmas and the likes:

White bread, instant noodles are very low in fiber.

Eating them shoots up sugar levels and when you eat it too frequently, insulin and his girlfriend (your body cells) will get tired of each other and start ignoring each other due to the constantly high demand.

You don't need to stop eating them, but definitely reduce the frequency.

2. Reduce sugary drinks

These drinks contain what I love to call "empty calories".

"Empty" because they have ZERO nutrients and you will never feel full after drinking them like when you eat beans

These excess calories are stored as fat and are a big risk factor for diabetes.

3. Eat more fiber

Fiber is a substance that helps slow down sugar absorption to prevent spikes,

Increases fullness to manage weight (a key diabetes risk factor),

Improves gut health, and lowers cholesterol.

You find fibers in HIGH amounts in Beans, carrots, nuts, veggies.

4. Move every single day.

Know this,

Even a little daily exercise is capable of improving insulin sensitivity and preventing diabetes.

From today, make it a habit to either walk, run, jog or lift every single day, no matter how short the time.

5. Sleep properly.

Lack of sleep, even short-term, drops your insulin sensitivity by a lot.

This forces your pancreas to work harder, raises blood sugar and increases your risk of type 2 diabetes.

If you have been doubting the relevance of sleep, stop that today.

SLEEP.

6. Stop sitting for long:

Believe it or not, sitting for long has a bad impact on insulin sensitivity by reducing muscle activity.

It makes your cells less responsive to insulin.

That raises your blood sugar levels and increases risk of developing or WORSENING diabetes.

If you're at work, always take breaks to walk around a bit.

7. Lose weight gradually.

Excess fat has the ability to send chemicals that block the communication between insulin and his woman (cells)

But remember you don't have to become thin in one day, take it step by step.

πŸ“ŒBottom line
The fact is you may not suffer or reap the benefits of your daily habits today.

It may be tomorrow, five years from now, or twenty.

Just make sure it's good habits like these that are adding up not the bad ones.

Make the right decisions today

BEFORE YOU GO EATING SUYA THIS NIGHT
READ THIS πŸ‘‡
Did You Know Your Favorite Suya Could Cause Cancer?”
YES
Here are 10 Things you need to know(And how to eat it better)

Find out out πŸ‘‡

πŸ“Œ Polycyclic aromatic Hydrocarbons or PAH are found in the smoke of grills and deposit into the meat, have also been shown to cause changes in DNA

Now combine PAHs with HCAs, what do you have?

Thoroughly cooked suya has been shown to have HCA in high CONCENTRATIONS 🀯🀯🀯

πŸ“Œ These compounds damage DNA but only after they have been activated by certain enzymes in the body that is they are activated...

These enzymes and their activity vary from one person to the other hence different risks in developing cancer

πŸ“ŒThese HCAs can cause changes in your DNA which is one of ways cancer is formed

The risk of getting cancer is higher if the meat is thoroughly cooked and if there are black charcoal marks on the meat itself

Colon cancer
Prostate
Pancreatic
Breast cancers have been linked to this

πŸ“Œ How to reduce your exposure
1. Stop cooking meat at over open fires!

2. Cook the meat at lower temperature by allowing the charcoal to burn down to just the embers before using it

3. Use a microwave to cook meat before exposing it to fire, this reduces the time spent over flame

πŸ“Œ 4. Continuously turn meat when heating over fire

5. Remove burnt portions of meat before eating

6. Marinate first! Marinating chicken before cooking in vinegar, Olive oil or lemon juices have been shown to reduce HCAs by as much as 99%

πŸ“Œ 7. Shield the meat! Use a Tin foil, this reduces the smoke that gets to the meat

8. After grilling, clean thoroughly to get rid of charred meat that may be stuck to the surface

9. Grill smaller portions, they spend less time on the fire

10. Eat smaller portions of grilled meat

❗️Kindly share this to family and friends

There were arguments that Okra causes infertility in men.

Is this true, or just a myth?

Okra is a nutritious vegetable rich in fiber, vitamins C and K, folate, magnesium, and antioxidants. It is part of a healthy diet for most people.

But can it cause infertility?

The myth likely came from a few animal studies that used concentrated okra seed extracts or unusually large doses under laboratory conditions. These results cannot be used to conclude that eating cooked okra affects human fertility.

In fact, a healthy diet that includes vegetables like okra may support overall health, including reproductive health, by helping reduce inflammation and oxidative stress.

What actually affects male fertility?
Smoking
- excessive alcohol intake
- obesity
- poorly controlled diabetes
- sexually transmitted infections
- certain medications
- exposure to heat or toxic chemicals, and hormonal or genetic problems are far more important causes.

If a couple has been trying to conceive for 12 months without success (or 6 months if the woman is 35 or older), both partners should be evaluated. Male factors contribute to infertility in about half of affected couples.

So, enjoy your okra without fear.

There is no reliable evidence that eating okra causes infertility in men. Focus on proven lifestyle habits that protect fertility instead.
