I have come to announce to you that marraige changes everything about you, and so it requires much capacity building and a lot of Emotional Intelligence

About to get married, i had many beautiful dreams of the way to navigate in marraige, enjoy my life, pursue my vision and take care of my little cozy, heaven on earth family

Mehn, i didn't think of the heavy responsibilities that awaits me, before i can achieve this milestone, i thought that no matter what, things will fall in line to suit my dreams

Well, having beautiful dreams is a very good thing, but thinking that in marraige, all your dreams will come through, at the times you want them to, is the worst mistake, you can ever make

Hello, Marraige will altar your plans, and sometimes leave you confused, the reason is that you can no longer pursue, without the other person's consent or approval, hence the reason someone reffered to Marraige as a bo***ge

The truth is, it is the wise that act as fools that walk through marraige successfully, you just need to most times, allow things to roll out in their own course

The first few years of my marraige, i thought of how i can fit it in as a pastor's wife, moving from one location to another, how i can take care of my home, kids and husband, pursue my vision, and ofcourse make money for myself and family, it was a time of emotiiotional imbalance for me

But one day i came to terms with myself, i told myself the truth, yes this man told you he is a pastor, by calling and you responded that God told you that your husband is a pastor too, he told you he can be posted to the desert, for ministry assignment, and asked if you can follow him, you accepted, now the journey has begun, children have started rolling in, just calm down and create a personal structure on how to balance these wide range of responsibities

So i calmed down, started putting up some personal structure and work balance stretegies, and i can tell you that after ten years in marraige, that this decision is working, i am carrying out all of these responsibities in a balanced way, the change of location, not withstanding, just yesterday, i went to some stores i dropped Glow Organics beauties, kiddies skin products, to find out about the sales, to my amazement, every product were sold out, and they requested for more products, yet i am barely 5 months in this City

Now, if you are reading this, and you are in my shoes, when i was a newbie in marraige, take a chilled pill, calm your emotions, put up a personal but result oriented structure, and go to work, and while you do this, note that things will keep being altared, but don"t be detared, be creative enough to make changes asap and move again

Rather than destroying that beautiful marraige and family that God has given you, because some things have changed, and will keep changing, probably, too different from your initial dreams and plans, you can receive grace from God to create what works for you, without being yourself altered

Marraige is a beautiful thing, but don't forget that only the wise that acts like fools can walk through it successfully.

You cannot claim to be a true child of God and continually live in hatred, bitterness, and the habit of treating your spouse badly without being willing to change.

This is why I always encourage singles to look beyond physical appearance, wealth, and social status when choosing a life partner. First, look for a genuine child of God, not someone who is only pretending to be one.

Why? Because the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance—are essential values that help build a healthy and godly marriage.

Remember, being a Christian is not just about going to church, speaking in tongues, or quoting scriptures; it should also reflect in your character, attitude, and how you treat others, especially your spouse.

Don't just marry someone who professes Christ; look for someone whose life is being transformed by Christ. ❤️
