Today, we celebrate pharmacists, not just for the medicines we dispense, but for the knowledge, care, and responsibility behind every medicine.

A pharmacist can be the person who:
💊 Helps you understand how to take your medicine correctly
🔎 Identifies a potential medication problem
🤝 Prevents harmful medicine combinations
📋 Helps you understand your prescription
❤️ Supports you in making safer decisions about your health

At PharmGuide & More Pharmacy, we believe that medication safety begins with good information.

Because it is not enough to have access to medicines.
People need to know how to use them safely.

This World Pharmacists Day, we celebrate every pharmacist making a difference, one patient, one conversation, and one safe medicine decision at a time.

Happy World Pharmacists Day! 💚💊

“Can a person who isn’t diabetic use Ozempic for weight loss?”

This is a question I got from one of my YouTube viewers, and it’s an important one because there’s a lot of confusion around Ozempic, Wegovy and weight management.

Before you use any of these medications for weight loss, there are a few things you need to understand.

Watch the reel to find out.

“My neighbour gave me her blood pressure medicine…”

Would you take it?

This actually happened and it’s more common than you might think.

But here’s the problem: a medicine that was prescribed for someone else may not be safe or appropriate for you.

I shared the full story and the medication-safety lessons in my latest YouTube video.

“I just had my baby… can I use Ozempic to lose the weight?” 👀

This is a question more women are asking as medications like Ozempic (semaglutide) become increasingly popular for weight loss.

But if you’re postpartum, there’s more to consider than simply asking, “Will it help me lose weight?”

What if you’re breastfeeding? 🤱🏽
What happens to your body after pregnancy?
Is Ozempic actually appropriate during this period?
And what should you know BEFORE considering a weight-loss injection?

💊 These are medication-safety questions, not just weight-loss questions.

I’ve broken it all down in my latest YouTube video, especially for women navigating postpartum weight loss and breastfeeding.

Happy new week!

A while ago, someone walked up and asked me for "TM." Casual, quick, like ordering a snack.
It took me a second to realize they meant tramadol a prescription medicine.
That moment stuck with me, not because of the person(s), but because of how normal it's become to ask for strong medications using shortcuts and slang, skipping the conversation that's supposed to happen first.

Here's why that conversation matters:
💊 Tramadol is a prescription-only pain medication, not an over-the-counter one for good reason.
💊 It affects your brain and body differently depending on your other medications, your health history, and even your body weight.
💊 Taken the wrong way, or combined with the wrong things, it can slow your breathing down to a dangerous level.
💊 It also carries a real risk of dependence, especially with repeated use outside medical supervision.

When a pharmacist asks questions before dispensing something like this, we are not being difficult. We are doing our job making sure the medication helps you instead of harming you.
📌 Save this. Share it with someone who might need the reminder.

A key ingredient in most gel nail polishes, TPO (trimethylbenzoyl diphenylphosphine oxide), has now been banned in the EU (since September 2025) and Great Britain (as of August 2026). This is the photoinitiator that helps gel polish harden under UV/LED light.

Why the ban? Animal studies linked TPO exposure to fertility concerns, and regulators reclassified it as a substance that may cause cancer or reproductive harm, triggering an automatic ban under EU law.

Should you panic? Not necessarily. Experts note that absorption through the nail plate is unlikely, exposure during a manicure is minimal, and past safety reviews found TPO safe at the concentrations used professionally, the ban reflects Europe's cautious, "better safe than sorry" regulatory style rather than confirmed harm in humans.

The takeaway isn't "gel manicures are dangerous", it is that regulations differ by region, and it's worth knowing what's in the bottle. 💚

What are the symptoms of HIV? Can it be treated?
These are questions worth asking and worth answering honestly.
✅ Early symptoms can mimic the flu or show nothing at all
✅ Testing is the only way to truly know your status
✅ With consistent treatment (not treatment as in cure o but treatment as ongoing management) people living with HIV live long, healthy lives.
✅ Undetectable = Untransmittable
✅ PrEP is available for prevention
No shame, no stigma, just facts. Get tested. Get informed. Get support. 💚
