Meet Zainab, a 14-year-old girl who quietly shared that she misses school every month—not because she wants to, but because she cannot afford sanitary pads.
No girl should have to choose between her education and her dignity.
Pad Her Future Initiative is preparing to reach girls like Zainab with sanitary pads and menstrual hygiene support.
Be part of our first impact story.

In many low- and middle-income communities, millions of girls miss school during menstruation due to lack of sanitary products and proper facilities.
According to global child and health organizations such as , period poverty continues to affect girls’ education, health, and dignity.
When a girl misses school every month, she loses learning time, confidence, and opportunities for her future.
This is why Pad Her Future Initiative exists 🌸
We are working to ensure that no girl is forced to miss school because of her period.
If you would like to be part of this mission, support, or collaborate with us, kindly reach out via message. Together, we can keep more girls in school—one pad at a time 🌸

Amina was just 13 when it happened for the first time—right there in school.
She felt something unusual, but she didn’t understand it. Fear quickly replaced her confidence. No one had prepared her for that moment.
With no sanitary pads, Amina had to use old cloth. She was uncomfortable and constantly worried about stains. Every laugh in class felt like it was directed at her. So she began to stay home… again and again, every month.
Slowly, school became a place she feared instead of loved.
Amina couldn’t talk about it. Not to her friends, not even openly in school. Menstruation was treated like a secret—something to hide. The silence made everything heavier.
As days turned into weeks of missed lessons, her grades began to drop. The once bright, confident girl started losing belief in herself. She began to feel like she didn’t belong anymore.
But one day, something changed.
Amina received sanitary pads—and more importantly, she was taught to understand her body. For the first time, she felt normal again. Seen. Supported.
She returned to school with a new confidence. No more hiding. No more fear. She could finally focus on her dreams again.
Amina’s story is not just hers. It is the story of many girls.
And sometimes, all it takes to change that story… is a simple pad.
