Happy National Children’s Day from Gloria Patri School! 🎉

Today wasn’t about uniforms — it was about joy, creativity, and celebrating the future we’re raising.

We kicked off with face painting 🎨 — nursery pupils to JSS 2 students and even our teachers got in on the fun with colours, patterns, and big smiles.
Then came the dancing competition 🕺💃 where students and teachers showed off their moves. What a sight!

Nigeria marks National Children’s Day on May 27 to celebrate children as the future of our nation. The day was officially set in 1964 to raise awareness on children’s rights, education, health, and welfare — following the UN’s call for every country to dedicate a day to its children.

It’s more than fun. It’s a reminder that every child deserves to be protected, heard, and given a chance to thrive.

Our GPS Stars in Primary 5 are turning learning into a show! 🌟

This week, they broke down Hyperbole — a figure of speech that uses exaggeration to make writing exciting, funny, and memorable. From “tall enough to touch the sky” to “sleeping till my next birthday,” watch how confidently they explain and give examples.

🚀✨ FROM OUR HALL TO THE MOON! 🌍🌕

At Gloria Patri School, our students took a journey beyond Earth — without leaving the hall!

Our science teacher led an inspiring session where students watched a special documentary on NASA’s *Artemis II mission*. They saw the _Integrity_ crew — Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, Mission Specialists Christina Koch & Jeremy Hansen — launch aboard Orion on April 1, 2026, loop around the Moon, and splash down safely on April 10.

The clips showed breathtaking views of our blue planet from space, the power of the SLS rocket lifting off, and how laser tech beamed 4K video from lunar orbit.

Our GPS stars were wide-eyed seeing the beauty of Earth from space and learning what it takes to push humanity further. The Moon is just the beginning!
