As we celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child with the theme "Girls’ Vision for the Future," We are reminded of the power girls hold to shape a healthier, brighter tomorrow.

A key part of that vision is ensuring that every girl has the opportunity to live free of the threat of cancer. Vaccinating girls against HPV is a vital step in preventing cervical cancer and safeguarding their future.

Let’s take action today—empower girls with the knowledge and tools they need to live healthy, cancer-free lives. Because when girls are protected, the future is protected.

We are thrilled to congratulate Her Excellency, Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu on her historic election as President of the UICC - Union for International Cancer Control becoming the first African and fifth woman to be elected to lead this prestigious organization since its founding in 1933. Her unwavering dedication to closing the cancer care gap has been a beacon of hope for us all.
