Dear All
It is with great admiration that I commemorate the 2025 WORLD AIDS DAY themed; Overcoming Disruptions: sustaining the Nigeria’s HIV Response with you all, because this theme resonates with the reality the dawn of 2025 brought before us.
We have most recently faced disruptions due to the USG Executive order, which came with panic, confusion, job loss and even hopelessness to some but we were not defeated. We have adapted, innovated, and persevered.
We continued to demand and create access to quality services, support, and inclusivity for PLHIV in our various capacities as government, partners and the patient community.
As we mark World AIDS Day today and remember our fallen heroes and heroines who fought through more disruptions to give us access to treatment and care, we stand united in our quest to do more and overcome any disruptions that might hinder our goal to pass down the legacy of Ending Pediatric HIV and Ending AIDS by 2030.
Despite challenges, We remain resilient and committed to our cause to achieve an AIDS-free Nigeria.
We are strong, we are capable, and we are unstoppable!

With gratitude and solidarity

Esther Hindi
National Coordinator
