It is really suprising people still have this type of MENTALITY.

Did you know ?
Maternal mortality ratio during the 1950s was likely well over 1,500 to 2,000 deaths per 100,000 live births.
Although Data collection started in the 80's ..
The number above is an estimated number.

I am a very proud c-section mom.
C-section gave me the chance to be a living Mother to a Living Child and for that, i will always be grateful.

Gone are the days people are shamed for birthing their babies via a c-section.

Mrs Halima was told to wait 8 months before exercising or working on her diastasis recti.

So naturally, she had questions.

“Can a virtual assessment really tell me what my body needs?”

She wasn’t completely convinced, and honestly, I understand why.

When you’re dealing with something as personal as your postpartum body, you want clarity not guesses.

After her virtual assessment, she was able to get a clearer understanding of her body and what needed attention.

Our goal is not to have you blindly follow exercises from YouTube or spend months trying random solutions.

It is to help you understand your body, identify what needs attention, and know the appropriate next step for YOUR body.

Your postpartum recovery deserves more than guesswork.

The WHO's evidence review found survey data from Nigeria and Malawi showing that more than 90% of women knew about supine/semi-recumbent birth, while fewer than 5% knew about alternatives such as squatting, kneeling and hands-and-knees. In the Nigerian study, only 18.9% said they would have been prepared to use an alternative position if a healthcare professional suggested it.

So , i am asking, How did a medically institutionalized birth position become so normalized that many women no longer know they have other options?

Birth/Labour is a pressure thing. While Your uterus generates pressure, your diaphragm and abdominal wall will help to manage that pressure and your pelvic floor has to respond to that pressure.

Your position changes the mechanics of that entire system

When she came to 9jabirthingmom, she had a 7-finger-width diastasis recti.

Through her rehabilitation journey, we worked on her abdominal wall function, core control, pressure management and diastasis recti.

Today, her diastasis recti has reduced from 7 fingers to about 3 fingers. But this is what we want every mom to understand: your body needs more than guesswork.

Not every hernia causes pain or obvious symptoms. And not every abdominal bulge is simply “baby weight” or something you should try to exercise away.

Assessment helps you understand what is actually happening in your body so your rehabilitation can be tailored to your needs.

Your body is worth understanding before you start trying to fix it.

For some moms, the journey doesn’t end after delivery. You may notice changes in your abdominal wall, discomfort, weakness, a bulge, or even deal with an abdominal hernia after pregnancy.

And if you’ve had hernia surgery before, it’s important to understand that surgery addresses the hernia, but recovery can involve more than the surgery itself.

Your body deserves proper assessment and the right rehabilitation approach not guesswork.

If you’ve had abdominal or hernia surgery and you’re experiencing changes or discomfort, book an assessment session with 9jabirthingmom so you can better understand what’s going on with your body.

Not every postpartum symptom should be normalized.

You were told that leaking urine is normal after childbirth.
That back pain is just part of motherhood.
That the tummy will eventually “go back.”
That painful intimacy is something you should just endure.

But your body is communicating with you.

Postpartum recovery is not only about getting your pre-pregnancy shape back. It is about restoring how your body moves, breathes, manages pressure, builds strength and functions in everyday life.

If something has felt different since pregnancy or childbirth, you don't have to keep guessing or pushing through it.

Share this with a mum who needs to hear this today.

One year postpartum and still wondering if you missed your chance to recover?

Your body has been through pregnancy, birth, and everything that comes with caring for a baby. If something still feels different, painful, weak, heavy, or simply “not right,” you don’t have to ignore it because you think you should have recovered by now.

Recovery is not a race against the calendar.

Whether you’re 3 months, 1 year, or several years postpartum, an assessment can help you understand what is happening in your body and what your next steps should be.
