A man who allegedly dressed like a woman and lived in the same house with female roommates has been exposed.

According to the account, the man had been living among the women while presenting himself as female.

When he was eventually confronted, he reportedly claimed that he “does women’s work”

The situation reportedly shocked the female roommates, who said they had been completely comfortable around him, sometimes changing clothes and discussing private matters in his presence because they believed he was a woman.

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexu@l V!olence Agency has condemned a viral social media video in which a mother and siblings were seen publicly mocking a child for bedwetting.

In the viral video, a mum and her children were seen mocking a little boy for always bedwetting. They filed out and took turns to stand in front of a camera to say in Yoruba language that they aren’t the one who bedwet. The bedwetting child was made to speak last, introducing himself as the one who bedwets.

Reacting to the video, the agency described the action as an act of verbal and emotional abuse, stressing that bedwetting should not be used as a reason to shame, ridicule or humiliate a child.

‘’What we are seeing here is verbal and emotional abuse of a child. Bedwetting is not a reason to shame, ridicule, humiliate or publicly expose a child.

Children deserve to grow up in environments where they feel safe, loved and supported, especially when they are experiencing something they may not even be able to control.

This is why we keep talking about child wellbeing and positive parenting. The adults responsible for raising children have a duty to protect their emotional and psychological wellbeing, not become the source of their pain’’

A 34-year-old Ugandan man is recovering in hospital after his wife allegedly poured hot water on him during a midnight domestic dispute.

The incident happened last Wednesday in Naminya, in Njeru Municipality, Buikwe District.

The victim, Williams Kato, told local authorities he sustained severe burns on his upper body and legs during the attack at their home.

Kato said he shouted for help as neighbours slept, but his pleas went unanswered until morning.

Speaking to Daily Monitor from his hospital bed on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, the victim said he’s been through a lot in the hands of his wife, adding that the marriage is over.

“K!lling me at this tender age. Pouring hot water on me. This a m8rder case,” he said.
