So, I started a Program to keep fit and Build my Mind and Body wellness. This was just a snippet of Day72. Consistency has taught me about facing each day one per time.

You can implement same in your own work and life.

Start each day and face it squarely. You will be amazed at the results.

Cheers

Good News, 5 Makoko women receives Empowerment Loan to help start/support their businesses from The Makoko Dream team!

Earlier in the year, we brought you news of how The Makoko Dream team shared palliatives to over 1053 families(Potential 5259 persons, cos an average family has 5 persons) in Makoko for months during the enforced lockdown in Phases 1-4.

Now, the Lockdown has been lifted, but a whole lot of families have lost their jobs and much more have found it difficult to cope with the 'new normal'.

To address this, we know that Palliatives will not be sustainable, so we went ahead to implement a loan scheme to ensure more women(who are mainly breadwinners in Makoko) have some funds to start or support their existing businesses.

For this first phase, each of the women received a 10,000 Naira loan each. The goal is to keep assisting families like these till we can not only help families to fend for themselves alone, but also help them to create wealth for themselves and their families.

Our goal is to reach out to about 200 families if possible with this Loan Scheme so that more persons will be busy doing something to generate income for their families.

If you would you like to be a part of this program and make more families benefit from this program, please kindly send in your donations to

Day 4 of the Makoko Dream Food Relief Program is here.

Right now, watch the highlight of Day 3 program. Please watch to the end, it will crack you up a little.

Hint: Makoko is a diverse community with several ethnic groups.

It has Egun(Predominant tribe), Yorubas, Ilajes(Ilajes dont like you calling them Yorubas, just as Fulani people don't like you calling them Hausas or Ukwuani people being called Igbos), Igbos, Hausas, Ijaws(Mainly cos of the similarity in Riverine interests), and several others.

Here is a Makoko woman from the Igbo speaking tribe appreciating the good deeds we did for her, no matter how little.

Appreciation, they say, is an Application for more. I laughed at the end of the Video.

Watch to the end.
