The Village Champion of Wrong Answers

In the peaceful village of Umudara, there lived a young man named Chibuzo. Everyone knew him for one thing—he always gave the wrong answer with complete confidence.

One morning, his mother shouted, "Chibuzo! Go and buy one crate of eggs!"

He returned proudly with... one wooden crate.

His mother blinked. "Where are the eggs?"

"You said a crate of eggs. I bought the crate first. We'll buy the eggs next month."

The neighbors laughed so hard that one man nearly dropped his bucket of water.

The next day, Chibuzo got a job as a bus conductor.

A passenger asked, "Does this bus go to Owerri?"

Chibuzo smiled. "No."

The confused passenger walked away.

Just then, the driver shouted, "Why did you chase away our customer? This bus is going to Owerri!"

Chibuzo shrugged. "He asked if the bus goes there. It doesn't. We are the ones taking the bus there."

The driver covered his face in embarrassment.

Later that week, Chibuzo visited the village barber.

The barber asked, "How do you want your haircut?"

Chibuzo replied, "With scissors."

The barber stood silently for five seconds before bursting into laughter.

On market day, Chibuzo wanted to impress a beautiful lady.

He walked up confidently and said, "Excuse me, can I borrow your smile?"

The lady smiled and asked, "Why?"

"So I can return it after my wedding."

She laughed so hard that even the yam seller stopped selling to listen.

One afternoon, Chibuzo decided to become a football commentator.

The striker missed an open goal.

Chibuzo shouted, "Fantastic defending by the goalkeeper... who wasn't even there!"

The entire viewing center exploded with laughter. Even the man supporting the losing team forgot to be angry.

Finally, the village chief called Chibuzo.

"My son," the chief said, "people say you make everyone laugh. What is your secret?"

Chibuzo smiled proudly.

"I don't know what I'm doing."

The chief nodded.

"We know."

The whole palace burst into laughter, and from that day on, whenever anyone was feeling sad, they simply looked for Chibuzo.

Within five minutes, everyone would be laughing—even Chibuzo, who still had no idea why.

Behind the School Gates – Part 1: The First Day

At exactly 7:00 a.m., a rusty school bus stopped in front of the towering gates of St. Michael's Boarding School. New students stepped down one after another, clutching their bags while trying to hide their fear.

Among them was Amanda, a quiet 16-year-old girl from a small village. It was her first time being away from home. She looked back one last time as her parents waved goodbye, and tears filled her eyes.

The giant iron gates slowly closed behind her.

"Welcome to your new home," the security guard said with a smile.

Amanda walked into the compound, amazed by the tall classroom buildings, crowded hostels, and students dressed in neat uniforms. Everything felt strange.

Before she could settle in, a loud whistle echoed across the compound.

"All new students, line up immediately!" shouted the senior prefect.

The seniors inspected every newcomer. Some laughed at oversized boxes, while others ordered the juniors to carry heavy buckets of water as a "welcome exercise."

Amanda struggled with her heavy suitcase until another new student, Daniel, stepped forward.

"Let me help you," he said kindly.

She smiled nervously.

"Thank you... I'm Amanda."

"I'm Daniel. Looks like we're both trying to survive our first day."

The two laughed softly.

Minutes later, the hostel matron assigned everyone to their dormitories. Amanda entered Dormitory B and immediately realized boarding school was nothing like home.

Thirty girls shared one room. Metal bunk beds stood side by side. Some students argued over lockers, while others rushed to claim the best beds.

Amanda quietly chose the top bunk near the window.

That night, as lights went out, whispers, laughter, and distant cries filled the hostel.

Amanda hugged her pillow tightly and whispered to herself,

"I hope I can survive this place."

Little did she know... her greatest adventures were only beginning.
