If your child could do something yesterday... but can't do it today, don't ignore it.

Was your child talking... but now they're losing words?

Were they walking... but now they stumble or can no longer walk?

Have they started losing skills they had already mastered?

This is not something to "wait and see."

A child who loses previously acquired developmental skills needs urgent medical evaluation. In some cases, it can be a warning sign of a serious condition affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, or muscles.

The earlier the cause is identified, the better the chances of effective treatment.

Trust your instincts.
If your child's development is moving backward instead of forward, seek medical care immediately.

Share this message. It could help a family recognize a warning sign before it's too late.

That can in your hand may be doing more damage than you realize.

If someone you love drinks energy drinks or sugary soft drinks every day, send them this message.

One can won't suddenly cause kidney failure.

But regularly consuming large amounts of energy drinks and sugary soft drinks can increase the risk of serious health problems over time, including high blood pressure, kidney damage, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease. For people who already have kidney disease, excessive intake may make the condition worse.

Your kidneys work every single day to keep you alive.
Don't make their job harder than it has to be.

Choose water more often.
Save energy drinks for rare occasions.
And remember—what you drink today can shape your health tomorrow.

Share this with someone you care about.
It might help them make a healthier choice before it's too late.

Never give honey to a baby under one year old... not even natural or raw honey.

Imagine this...

Your baby suddenly stops feeding.
The crying becomes weak... or disappears completely.
Their body turns limp.
Their tiny hand no longer grips your finger the way it used to.

These can be warning signs of a rare but life-threatening illness called infant botulism.

Raw and unpasteurized honey can contain spores of a bacterium called Clostridium botulinum. In babies younger than 12 months, these spores can grow in the intestines and produce a dangerous toxin because their digestive system is still developing.

That's why honey should never be given to children under one year of age.

One small spoonful may seem harmless...
But waiting until your baby's first birthday is the safest choice.

How much pocket money should you give your child?

There isn't one magic number.

Every family has different circumstances. But here's a principle every parent should remember:

Too much allowance can teach entitlement. Too little can push a child toward unhealthy choices just to fit in.

Children naturally want to belong. They see what their friends buy, eat, and enjoy. If they constantly feel left out, the lesson they learn may not be gratitude—it may be desperation.

The goal isn't to give the most.
The goal is to give enough.

Don't pull the rope so tight that it breaks.
Don't loosen it so much that it loses its purpose.
Find the balance.

And most importantly...

Don't just know how much money you're giving your child.
Know where it's going.

Allowance isn't only about spending money.
It's one of the first classrooms where children learn responsibility, self-control, honesty, and wise decision-making.

"My child stole something..."

Those words can make any parent's heart sink.

But before you panic...

Watch closely.

A child taking something from a store doesn't automatically mean they're a thief.

In many cases, it's curiosity.
Imitation.
A poor understanding of money.
Or simply wanting something they were afraid to ask for.

The way you respond in that moment can shape your child's character for years to come.

So what should you do?

First, find the reason.

Before you punish, ask yourself:

Did my child see someone else do this?

Do they think it's okay to take things without paying?

Did they want the item but feel afraid to ask?

Or are they simply testing my boundaries?

Once you understand the "why," respond the right way.

Never shame your child in public.

Don't yell.

Don't hit them.

Take them aside and calmly explain that every item belongs to someone, and every item has a price.

Then help them make it right.

Return the item, or let them pay for it using their own allowance if they're old enough.

If they're mature enough, encourage them to apologize to the shop owner.

That teaches responsibility—not fear.

Most importantly...

Teach values, not just consequences.

Instead of saying,
"Don't do that or you'll be punished,"

say,

"We only take what belongs to us, or what someone willingly gives us. Other people's money and property deserve respect."

When children understand why honesty matters, they're far more likely to choose it—even when no one is watching.

And before your next trip to the supermarket, set clear expectations.

Tell your child,

"If you see something you want, tell me first."

Giving them a small budget to choose from can also reduce temptation and help them learn the value of money.

If this behavior keeps happening, look deeper.

Are promises being made but never kept?

Is your child struggling with self-control?

Every repeated behavior is trying to tell you something.

Don't just correct the action.

Understand the child behind it.

Stop putting your finger in your nose.

After you hear what it can do... you may never do it again.

Before we begin, take a moment to follow for more child health tips.

It may seem harmless.

But the moment your fingernail scratches the delicate lining inside the nose, it creates tiny wounds you may never notice.

Those tiny injuries don't always heal properly.

Instead, they stay irritated, weakening the thin wall that separates the two nostrils.

And if the habit continues...

It doesn't stop with a small scratch.

It can lead to frequent nosebleeds, painful infections, difficulty breathing, chronic inflammation, and in severe cases, a hole in the nasal septum.

At that point, treatment becomes far more difficult.

Sometimes...

It even requires surgery.

So ask yourself...

Is a few seconds of picking your nose really worth risking all of that?

You may be the reason your relationship with your child is quietly falling apart...

Not because you don't love them.

But because... you made them feel less loved.

The moment a child believes their brother or sister is the favorite—whether you favor daughters over sons, sons over daughters, or one child over another—you plant a wound that can last a lifetime.

That child doesn't just feel overlooked.

They begin to believe they are not enough.

Their confidence shrinks.
Their self-worth fades.
And the deepest pain is knowing the people who were supposed to be their safest place became the source of that hurt.

So ask yourself today...

Has any of my children ever felt this way because of me?

If the answer is even "maybe," don't ignore it.

Fix it while you still can.

Because one day, the distance between you and your child may not be caused by rebellion...

It may be caused by favoritism.

Your child opens a book... then closes it two minutes later.

You tell them, "Focus."

They look at you, sigh, and drift away.

Soon, they're labeled lazy... careless... or a failure.

But what if the problem isn't a lack of intelligence?

What if your child simply doesn't have what their brain needs to focus?

Poor sleep.

An unhealthy diet.

A deficiency in key nutrients.

Vision problems.

Or a condition like ADHD that affects attention and self-control.

A child's brain is like a car.

Even the best engine won't run well if it's filled with bad fuel.

Too little iron.

Too few essential vitamins.

Too much sugar.

Too much screen time.

Not enough rest.

All of these can quietly steal a child's focus before they ever steal their motivation.

The biggest mistake?

Yelling.

Pressuring them.

Comparing them to other children.

You can't expect a child to perform at their best when they're already struggling beneath the surface.

The solution doesn't always begin with more lessons or harsher discipline.

It begins with healthy sleep, balanced nutrition, consistent daily routines, and study sessions broken into short, focused periods instead of endless hours.

Sometimes, the first step to helping a child succeed is understanding what their brain is asking for.

One of the rarest and most heartbreaking conditions you'll ever hear about...

Imagine a baby being born with their heart outside their chest.

This rare congenital condition is called Ectopia Cordis. It affects approximately 1 in every 100,000 births.

As shocking as it looks, this is not caused by anything a mother did or failed to do. It is a very rare birth defect that occurs while the baby is developing in the womb.

No parent ever wishes to see their child face such a challenge.

Cases like this remind us how delicate life is, how extraordinary the human body is, and why every healthy heartbeat is a gift never to be taken for granted.

Let's choose compassion over judgment and support families facing these incredibly rare conditions.

You may not like hearing this, but cough medicine is not recommended for young children in many cases.

For most coughs caused by common viral infections, these medicines often provide little benefit and may carry unwanted side effects—especially in younger children.

Instead, focus on simple, comforting remedies that support recovery:

📌Warm chicken soup
📌Honey with lemon (for children over 1 year old—never give honey to babies under 12 months)
📌Warm turmeric milk, if your child tolerates it

And here's something many parents don't know:

If your child's doctor prescribes a bronchodilator (an airway-opening medicine), try to give the last dose earlier in the evening, as directed by your doctor. Giving it too close to bedtime may make some children feel more awake or restless, making it harder for them to sleep.

Not every cough needs a bottle of medicine. Sometimes, the best treatment is rest, fluids, and giving the body time to heal.
