The Clean Edit

I am constantly looking for clean and sustainable products for my daughters. From toothpaste & hairbrushes to clothing & toys. It’s a constant struggle as of course plastic won’t break and is much easier to handle for kids as it’s light weight. My frustration begins with packaging. Why is it ALWAYS in plastic? Why can’t there be glass bottles or refill stations? My whole family has been using bamboo toothbrushes for a year now and I can’t even imagine going back to plastic ones. What clean & green products do you use? I’m excited to give these a try as I’m hoping to switch away from the typical Etos & AH brands.

My latest purchases.. some renewed and some new! Really excited to try out as I’ve heard awesome reviews from them. I’ve use body soap and now I’m hoping to love their hand cream just as much! mascara is a bit touch and go, but it’s the only clean (and unclean) mascara I’ve found that doesn’t flake! always and super excited for my big splurge of . I’ll let you know how they work out! Have you tried any of these brands?

The sun is shining today and it finally feels like spring is here! Don’t forget to apply your spf EVERY SINGLE DAY and protect your eyes with sunglasses add a hat for even more protection! I use the every morning and reapply with throughout the day. It’s so easy to throw into my bag and be on the go. The kids also love it because they think they’re putting make up on with the brush applicator. Win-win! What brand spf do you use? Don’t forget to make sure it’s safe for the reef & ocean.

This weekend I went to a wreath making workshop by to try something new. Not only did I have a lot of fun, but I learned that it is very sustainable. The base of the wreath is from the willow tree which can last a lifetime. The flowers used in the wreath dry beautifully and can stay in for as long as you’d like. There is a lot less waste and it also hangs beautifully in your home. Have you ever made a wreath or do you hang one in your house?

This purchase you see is my start to zero waste or at least conscious & minimal waste. Using this soap bar instead of my beloved dishwashing liquid. Using these beautiful wood brushes instead of the handy plastic brushes that suction cup to the sink. It’s a matter of making my life less ‘convenient’ and more sustainable. Getting used to this way of living takes practice and patience. Next purchase, beeswax wraps. Any suggestions?
