Vanja tattoo

I returned to Norway yesterday, and it wasn't without a drama. I had to have a layover in Warsaw because there were no direct flights between Sofia and Oslo. I was very tired and slept in the plane. But I was abruptly woken up by a lot of shouting, noise, and people running back and forth. Suddenly, I heard an announcement over the loudspeakers: "Is there a doctor on board?" At first, I wondered if I was dreaming or starring in an American action movie, or just what on earth was going on. 🤔
Then I realized it was an elderly Ukrainian man sitting in the row ahead of me, on the other side of the aisle. He was suffering a heart attack or some other serious medical emergency. Fortunately, there was a doctor on board who stepped in to help. There was IV treatment, oxygen, and other passengers acting as interpreters...It was a very hectic and stressful situation. Thankfully, he survived. I felt I had to try to help. I asked one of the flight attendants if they needed aspirin, as I had some in my bag. She thanked me for the offer but said they had plenty of medication on board. When we landed, no passengers were allowed to stand up until the ambulance crew had moved the man off the plane and into the ambulance. As far as I know, everything turned out okay in the end. Thankfully. 🙏🙏🙏

Two days ago, while walking along one of the city's main streets, I saw a familiar face. I was amazed by the coincidence. It was the first friend I made back when my family moved from Sofia to Samokov. I wondered if she would recognize me, but I needn't have worried. Even though we hadn't seen each other for perhaps over twenty years, she recognized me immediately. We arranged to meet for coffee today to catch up, and it was such a pleasant time. We had so much to talk about. I am so glad I met you and that we became friends, Snezhé. When my family moved to Samokov, I was just starting the third grade.I had lost all the friends I previously had in Sofia, and I have to admit I was quite anxious. We went to the first day of third grade together, side by side. You made me feel more secure and helped me stop worrying. We lived in the same apartment building and were in the same class. We were constantly together until we decided to transfer to the sports school in sixth grade. We both got in, but I didn't like it there, so I went back to my old school, while you stayed on at the sports school. That was when our paths diverged. Even though we don't see each other as often anymore, you will always remain a good friend to me. 💞
