What does Prologic use, if we aren’t using silicones?

Prologic does not use any silicones across its entire product range. In their place,
every formulation uses ingredients that are physiologically compatible with the
skin's own barrier structure.

Skin identical lipids: ceramides, cholesterol, and free fatty acids that integrate
with the stratum corneum's lamellar structures rather than sitting on top of
them.

Physiological oils: rice bran, jojoba, macadamia, and plant-derived squalane,
chosen because their fatty acid profiles are closely aligned with the skin's own
sebum composition.

Natural film formers: phospholipids and lecithin, which create a smooth,
consistent texture without occlusive film formation.

Humectant complexes: glycerin, sodium lactate, and hyaluronate, combined
with lipids for balanced barrier hydration.

The difference is not just what is in the bottle. It is what those ingredients do once they are on the skin.

Instead of using harsh surfactants like SLS or SLES, Prologic cleansers use Coco Glucoside—a non-ionic cleansing agent derived from coconut and glucose. It effectively cleanses the skin without the barrier-disrupting properties associated with conventional sulphates.

Prologic’s Pre Cleanse Oil lifts makeup, sunscreen and excess sebum before cleansing, allowing the treatment cleanser to work effectively without relying on high concentrations of surfactants. It’s a gentler way to cleanse while respecting the skin barrier.

✨ Barrier-supportive emulsification
Instead of relying on conventional emulsifiers, Prologic uses Soy Lecithin—a phospholipid that closely resembles the skin’s own barrier lipids. It helps blend oil and water while respecting the structure of the stratum corneum, creating stable formulations without compromising barrier function.
