Ko wai au - Who am I

My names Krystal 👋🏽

I thought I’d pop up an introduction post and with it being Te wiki o te Reo Māori I thought why not do it in Reo Māori.

I’m a Mother, a teacher (kapa haka tutor), An artist, a partner

I currently live in Auckland - Howick however I whakapapa back to Maniapoto - king country area

I love going to the gym. Although I’m still getting used to the 5am gym time

My favourite services would be eyelash extensions and tattoo (I’m torn between the 2 - so chose both)

A little background: I have been doing beauty services since 2018 where I first done an eyelash extensions course - from there I’ve learnt many services, went from home based to opening a salon and vice versa where I’m now based ups stairs in the Howick hairways salon - I’ve trained many woman to do what I do and In that time I’ve raised and are still raising 2 beautiful kids (currently 6 & 1) my daughter is Punjabi & I know basic greetings so please please please feel free to greet me in Punjabi! (Along with te Reo Māori or English)

During the week I tutor kapa haka at 2 different primary schools so having my business allows flexibility for me to fit this in. I absolutely adore the kids and the love they have for kapa haka.

So if I’m not at the salon then chances are I’m either at the gym or doing mahi at one of the schools (or the kids are sick AGAIN for the millionth time this year….)
