Skin Specialist Title in New Zealand, it means nothing legally. And we think it’s time the industry talked about it.
Anyone can use it. There’s no protected qualification, no governing body, no minimum standard required to call yourself a skin specialist and charge clients accordingly.
For the therapists in our community who have invested years into their education and craft, that’s not just frustrating. It’s genuinely damaging to the reputation of the entire profession.
