For today’s NZ Nail Tech Summit 6 Week Challenge, it’s all about Jellies / Glass Gels!

I created this design using that gorgeous translucent jelly effect. I love how the colour still has depth while letting the catseye underneath peek through. 😍✨

Such a fun trend to play with, and a perfect way to finish off the Friday trend challenges! 💕

✨ Three trends, one nail! ✨

For NZ Nail Tech Summit 6 Week Challenge, I combined three trending techniques into one design:

💫 Cat Eye – for that beautiful dimensional shimmer
✨ Isolated Chrome – to create a striking metallic feature
🌸 3D Gel – adding texture and depth to finish the look

I love how these three trends work together to create something elegant while still making a statement.

✨ Gel doesn't dry... it CURES! 💅✨

One of the biggest misconceptions about gel nails is that they "dry" like regular nail polish. The truth is... they don't!

💡 Gel polish cures, not dries.

When gel is placed under a UV or LED lamp, the light triggers a chemical reaction that hardens the product. This process is called curing.

✨ Why does this matter?
• Your nails are fully hardened once they've been cured correctly.
• Air won't dry gel polish, so it won't set if it's not cured under the proper lamp.
• Every gel brand has its own recommended curing times, so following the manufacturer's instructions is essential for a long-lasting, safe manicure.

Understanding how gel works helps you appreciate why professional products, quality lamps, and correct application are so important. 💛
