A little bit about the person behind Beauty Marque 🤍

My business has evolved over the years, and so has the way I work.

I've always had a passion for skin health, but I've loved the variety of beauty therapy and the different services that have helped shape Beauty Marque along the way.

These days, I'm more intentional about staying in my lane, focusing on what I'm genuinely good at, where my passion lies, and where my knowledge and expertise are strongest.

You'll also notice fewer before & afters. That's simply because my clients' privacy comes first. I'll always share results when my clients are happy for me to do so, but not every result needs to become content.

You'll be seeing a little more of me, the salon, my treatments and the work that happens behind the scenes. 🤍

You might have noticed I've been talking about skin a lot more lately.

That's because I'm putting more of my time, education and energy into skin health and advanced facial treatments, something I've always been passionate about.

But brows have been a huge part of Beauty Marque from the beginning, and I still genuinely love doing them.

The precision. The shape. The little details. That moment when you hand the mirror back and they see the difference.

So while Beauty Marque is becoming more skin-focused, I'm not leaving brows behind.

You'll still find me here threading, tinting and sculpting brows, alongside the skin treatments I'm becoming increasingly passionate about.

☀️ Why your skin therapist keeps banging on about sunscreen

Because sunscreen isn't just for summer.

365 days a year.

UVA rays are present year-round and contribute to pigmentation, loss of firmness, wrinkles and premature skin ageing.

Sunscreen is one part of your sun protection, alongside:

🧴 SPF
🧢 Hats
🕶️ Sunglasses
👕 Lightweight, protective clothing
🌳 Shade

And for your face, use a dedicated sunscreen underneath your makeup. The SPF in your moisturiser or foundation isn't a substitute because most of us don't apply enough product to achieve the labelled protection.

Aim for around 5 mL for your face, neck and décolletage.

Good facial sunscreens can cost more because quality formulations and rigorous SPF/UVA testing are expensive.

Cheap doesn't automatically mean bad, and expensive doesn't automatically mean good. Formulation, testing and suitability for your skin matter.

A few things I think are worth knowing before your next facial 🤍

You don't need to know what treatment you need, and you definitely don't need perfect skin.

That's my job, to assess where your skin is at and work with it from there.

Your skin is allowed to change. Mine does too. 🤍

Your skin doesn’t always need more products. Sometimes it needs support. ✨
