Country Glow

This post has been looming over me for the last few weeks, not for any particular reason other than my own private feelings of how things can be perceived over social media.

I'm a very private person and expressing myself comes easily but sharing over social media doesn't.

So here I am staying authentic to myself. After 18 years of hairdressing I've come to terms with it no longer being my passion and that's okay 🌸🌸

I've grown so much, met so many and appreciated all my experiences I've learned/had in the industry. There is a part of me that will feel lost not seeing friendly faces regularly but this is my time to step back , enjoy my family for longer and see where this new road takes me 🩷

I'm excited, I'm happy and this is me!!!

Hair tip Tuesday 🌸

It passed swimming season!! you definitely won't find me in the pool 🥶 in saying that, southland is known for having hard water which creates a green build up on the hair. Applying a slight barrier on the hair using a leave in treatment spray or wetting with bottled water before showering can be beneficial. Always let your stylist know if you've noticed a green tinge in your shower or basins.

Winning the subway shout was a lovely way to finish off the week, sharing the love felt even better. Thank you for the nominations, we have had endless support from the community. Onwards and upwards 🌸

Finding breakage in the same spot? Can be a side effect of wearing your hair in the same style for long periods of time. Alternate hairstyles or Using a scrunchie instead of hair ties can minimize friction on the hair that causes damage.

Up and running🌸

Today has taught all four businesses how truly amazing our wee team is, alongside the added help and support of our small community.

We were all surviving off minimal sleep, spelling errors and a hole heap of caffeine to say the least.

The rest of this week we will carry on like normal ,chipping together utilizing remaining stock and equipment.

We are four small businesses working out of the same salon. Unfortunately we are closed for the day!!! due to the salon being broken into early hours of this morning.

We are all advised to stay clear from the salon until the police have done a full run through of the building.

Once this has been done we ask for your patience in the process. while we clean up, repair, and work out the loss between all four businesses.

Bells comes in a couple of times a year for a low maintenance blonde, shes naturally light so creating a full head of fine foils with some cute curtain bangs keeps her fresh for months ahead.
