Such fun to get stuck into blending essential oils again! This is on order for a client, for her upcoming women's retreat.

I start with the brief, which in this case is "Rejuvenate", but could also be up to three health conditions, and compile a list of options for top, middle and base notes. Then I make a list of each oil's properties that meet the brief, and note their contra-indications.

Next I pick three to five oils from that list which compliment each other, and make up a test blend. So, currently, I've got an option on each wrist, giving it the smell test 😁

When I finally decide on the blend, I calculate a safe dilution, and make up individual 10 ml bottles of the blend diluted in jojoba oil. I label the bottles, and prepare an info sheet to accompany each bottle stating ingredients, use and safety data.

Then I safely pack and courier to my client.

Self care: set up my apothecary yesterday so I could make 'Calm ya T**s!' my favourite blend to calm my nervous system (and other body parts!). A gorgeous blend of sedatives, including jasmine, vetiver and citrus.
And, no there are no essential oils recommended for Covid-19. There has not been enough time for adequate research into which antivirals may work. I am following the experts in this field and will continue to be led by their advice, which it to use the oils we do have research for, such as the sedatives to help support us in these stressful times. I'll make some recommendations on another post shortly
