It was a very special atmosphere, with fires dimly lighting the dawn sky and steam rising from the hangi (earth oven) to feed the Matariki star cluster. We reflected on the past, honored those who had passed during the year, celebrated the present, setting intentions for the new year.
Matariki rises, it encourages us to consider our connection to the land, to the sky, and to each other. It reminds us of our shared heritage and the importance of coming together, strengthening our bonds and fostering a sense of collective well-being.

So, let us embrace this special time. Let us reflect, remember, and renew our spirits. Let us celebrate the past, live fully in the present, and look forward with hope to the future
