If you follow my personal account you would’ve seen that yesterday I announced me and my hubby are expecting a little baby boy at the start of next year and we couldn’t be more excited! Being a mummy is my dream job and one I’ve dreamed of since I was a little girl so to have that dream come true now feels so surreal and we can’t wait…

With our little man due shortly after the New Year (right in the middle of my busiest season! 😅), I’ll be limiting my bookings from December onwards so I can start slowing down and prepare for his arrival.

What we actually did to create this soft, diffused bridal look might surprise you…

• We used a full coverage foundation

Yes, really.

A lot of people assume lightweight foundation automatically looks more natural, but often a full coverage formula creates a more flawless, skin like finish because it allows us to use less product exactly where it’s needed while also ensuring all day longevity (so your makeup looks good in photos and still on the dance floor at 10pm) 💃

• We used cluster lashes across the entire eye

Without lashes the eyes can lose definition and contrast in photos. These lashes were chosen to enhance her eyes while still looking soft and bridal.

• We defined both the top and bottom lash lines.

This subtle detail makes a huge difference. It adds depth, shape and dimension to the eyes without looking heavy.

• Her makeup didn’t look cakey because of the work she put in before the wedding

Beautiful makeup starts with beautiful skin. She focused on hydration and skin preparation in the weeks leading up to her wedding day, not just the night before. More often than not “cakey” makeup is a skin prep issue rather than a makeup issue.

The result? Soft, timeless, radiant bridal glam that still looks like her 🤍
