Hey hey everyone.
Sorry there hasn’t been much going on on here for a long time. Between being a mum and moving area I had taken a wee break from hairdressing. I’m now back to work part time at a cute little salon in Katikati.
If your wanting your hair done and are in the Bay of Plenty area get in touch and I’ll help you out.

With the impending move I've decided it's time to go through and update this page and get some more of my work from the last year up (ive been real slack)
So for the next few weeks look forwards to seeing more of my work and once I know where I'm moving to and have a new place of work ill update everything else.

When I was looking for a salon to work in, I knew that I wanted every single inch of it to be thought out to create a unique experience for YOU my clients!
From the tea and coffee choices, to the people I work with, even the music we play, it was all considered before you even stepped in the door.
Welcome to the amazing little salon I work in called Village Hair.

This client had been coming in for just an allover colour and was bored with her.
After a chat we decided to balayage her to give a nice transition between the dark and light to give her hair a more natural lived in look.

Did you know that I keep a pretty detailed log of notes about your hair?
Yep! After every appointment, I write down exactly what we did so that I can keep track for the future. You’d be shocked to see my novel of notes about your hair!
The reason why this is so important to me is so if im ever sick or you need an appointment and im not working/booked up you can see any of the girls here at Village Hair and they will know exactly what I did last time. Staying organized is important and keeping these notes helps me serve you even better!

This mama the other day came in feeling mousy, dull and needed a well deserved pick me up!
A full head of highlights and glossy toner later and we ended up with this stunning Iced Latte colour and not a hint of mousy colour anywhere.

Quick Question: if you could wear your hair ANY
style from one of the below decades, which
would you choose?
a.) 80’s (because bigger the bang, the better)
b.) 20’s (let’s bring finger waves back ASAP)
c.) 50's (beautiful sculpted curls)
d.) 90’s (bring on the rocker shags and bull cuts
baby)
e.) Other (tell us which decade and why in the
comments)

THINK OF THIS AS INSURANCE FOR YOUR HAIR!
Why is Olaplex so important?
When we use chemicals ie hair colour, we are breaking down the bonds in the structure of the hair, to allow the product in, which can cause damage.
Different ways the bonds in our hair can break are from colour, heat, the sun, brushing & even hot and cold water!
Olaplex helps to go into the hair & strength those bonds. This is not a product that makes your hair feel amazing first time BUT when used over time its preventing damage that leads to breakage & keeps your hair happy and healthy!

If you had to describe this colour using only food, what would it be?
I’m a little excited/nervous to see what you come
up with haha!.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve literally been wearing the same shirt for three days, however, I keep putting my hair up in some sort of style whether it’s curls or a messy updo (it’s all about balance, ya know 😜)!
I’ve also been taking this time to practice looks that I
otherwise may not have tried before. What do you
think of this one?
