At the start of the year (after lots of self reflection) I decided it was time for to me to follow my other passion, working in the animal industry. Some of you may already know but many moons ago (ok, ok, that’s an exaggeration) I was studying to be a vet nurse. Life happened (aka I had children) and I ended up finding a passion for nails, and so Nail Candy was born! While Nail Candy gave me the flexibility to work from home around my kids and (I hope) creating long lasting friendships with you all, it’s time for me to paint my last nail, sprinkle the last of the glitter and take my last nailfie.

I want to thank each and every one of you that stood by me and supported me, whether it be by booking in, referring me to a friend or liking and sharing my work. It didn’t go unnoticed and although it’s time to draw a close on my nail tech career, for those of you with fur babies, I hope to see you again as your friendly vet nurse.

I’m going to be honest, times are tough! The clients are becoming further and further between and I’m starting to feel the pinch BUT today my client reminded me why I do what I do. ‘This is something for me’, ‘I feel finished, polished after having my nails done.’
