As we step into a new year, I just want to take a moment to say thank you to all of my amazing clients and most of all my family and friends for the support and trust over the past 6 months while finding my feet since taking over.

I’ve had the most amazing 3-week break and I’m feeling really grateful (and very refreshed).
Thank you so much to everyone for your patience while I took some time out. I hope you’ve all had a lovely break and enjoyed time with family and friends over the holiday season.

I’m back in the salon from tomorrow at 9:15am and looking forward to easing into the year ahead and seeing you all again.

Just a wee heads-up, availability is limited and I don’t have spaces until mid February, as I’m currently the only stylist. If you’re wanting an appointment, please book ahead so you don’t miss out.

**Farewell to Ka — A True Northland Original**

After over 30 incredible years of transforming hair, lifting spirits, and leaving your magic touch across Northland, it’s time for us to say farewell,though never truly goodbye.

Ka, your scissors may be heading south to Dunedin, but your legacy here is untouchable. You haven’t just styled hair, you’ve styled confidence, joy, laughter, and friendship into the lives of everyone lucky enough to sit in your chair. From the earliest perms to the sharpest fades, from bold colours to quiet chats, you’ve seen it all, done it all, and done it with kindness and heart.

As you, Markus, and little Nacho start this exciting new chapter, know that Northland won’t be the same without you. Thank you for the years of creativity, connection, and care. Dunedin’s gain is truly our loss.

And as for Hair by Nature, it’s in safe (if slightly nervous!) hands. I, Summah, have officially taken on the salon, and I’ll slowly be finding my feet as I step into this next chapter. I’ll do my best to honour everything Ka has built while bringing my own style and energy to the mix. More updates to come!
