In all seriousness, those first few hours matter, girls! ✨

While your tan is developing, avoid water, sweating, skincare products and anything that might rub against your skin.

Give your glow the best chance to develop beautifully, then rinse at your recommended time.

And if anyone asks why you're sitting with your feet up doing absolutely nothing… just tell them your tanning lady said so. 😂🤎

Can we talk about hydration for a minute?
I'm the first to admit I'm absolutely terrible at following my own tanning advice! 😂

But here's the difference… I can tan myself whenever I like, so sometimes I get a little lazy with my aftercare.

My last tan? I forgot to moisturise, and by day 4 I was already starting to see patchiness.

This time? I've made a conscious effort to drink more water, still completely forgot to moisturise (oops!), and here we are on day 6 with my tan still going strong! 🤎

Now, I'm not saying drinking water replaces moisturising, because it absolutely doesn't.

But staying hydrated is important for healthy skin, and regular moisturising is one of the biggest secrets to a beautiful, even-fading tan.

I can't say for certain whether drinking more water made the difference this time, but it's certainly reminded me to take better care of my skin!

So as we head into the warmer months, here's your little reminder from someone who really needs to take her own advice…

Hydrate. Moisturise. Protect your glow. ✨

Because a beautiful tan doesn't stop when you leave the studio.

Your spray tan doesn’t start on the day of your appointment 👀

If you have dry skin, the secret to a smooth, even tan that fades beautifully actually starts the week before.

For the best possible result:

✨ 5–7 days before: Moisturise your body daily. Hydrated skin gives your tan a much smoother base and helps prevent those extra-dry areas grabbing too much colour.

✨ 24 hours before: Exfoliate thoroughly and shave. This removes dead skin cells and gives your tan a fresh, even surface to develop on.

✨ On tan day: Avoid moisturiser, deodorant, perfume and body oils — and try not to arrive freshly showered. Your skin needs to be completely cool and dry before we spray.

✨ Don’t forget: Pay extra attention to elbows, knees, ankles and anywhere you naturally get dry.
A beautiful spray tan is 50% application + 50% what you do before and after it. 🤎

Prep your skin properly and you’ll notice the difference — smoother colour, a more even result and, most importantly, a tan that fades away gradually rather than going patchy.

Okay… I think I’ve found my new favourite tan combination 🤎

I originally started mixing MineTan Ultra Dark + Coconut Dark to create a custom colour for one of my clients for his events.

I loved the result so much that I wanted to see how it developed on different skin tones, so I tried the blend on another client…

Then, obviously, I had to try it myself. 👀

And OH. MY. GOSH. 😍

The colour is absolutely gorgeous a deep, rich, dark brown that develops beautifully.

One of the things I love about spray tanning is that your tan doesn’t have to be one-size-fits-all.

I can customise and blend solutions depending on your skin tone, the depth you’re wanting and the kind of finish you love.
