One of the hills I am willing to die on is that beauty is INNATE. No matter your skintone, your ethinicity, you age, your weight, you life, ... You have beauty.
Just because we live in a society where women are told what they ought to be, what they ought to look like and in which beauty standards evolve to keep women controlled. I'll die on the hill that beauty is already yours.
Over the history of humanity, every single body size, every single skin tone, every single eye shape, face shape, ... was once considered the epitome of beauty. And if we spend time, as women, trying to fit in a mold that was designed too small to begin with, we could fall into the comparaison trap. It could divide is. It could make us focused on our bodies instead of our rights.

With the he**in chic making a come back this year, with the added concern of weight loss medicine, I think this message is more important than ever.

You are the beautiful one.

I am often asked about what to avoid doing for your skin... the list is quite long, so how about we start with these four?

Sleeping with makeup on, will cause problems in the long run. The first thing that you'll notice is dull skin, then congestion (black or whiteheads), then potentially breakouts... so do yourself a favour and wash your skin properly in the evening. Because that leaves your skin ready for leave on skincare, because overnight is when your skin is doing most of it's regenerative work.

Neglecting your neck is an issue too and I am talking about both the front and the back of the neck. The skin on your neck is really thin and needs some extra TLC. We are all looking down all of the time, from phones to computers, to books, to kids etc... when you'll apply skincare to the neck, you'll also activate bloodflow a liitle bit and work on the tension, bonus point if you actually give your neck a massage, but hey, if you strat by taking your skincare to your neck (front an back) it's already a fabulous place to start, build on that.

Skipping patch tests... if your skin is super hardy and you have never reacted to anything on the planet, go you and go for gold. If your skin is a bit more temperamental, don't skip the patch test... remember, that's a 3 step process... inner elbow, if alg move to behind the ear and if alg patch test on the neck fold just under your chin and if alg, then apply to the face.

Over exfoliation makes me want to go to the woods and scream from frustration. Exfoliation is sold as a solution to almost all skin condition. Too much face fluff = dermaplanning. Congestion - microdermabrasion, lacklustre skin- microdermabrasion, acne- here's an apricot kernel exfoliant.
URGH. Just no.
For one, we all have peach fuzz; let the fuzz be.
For seconds (is that even English?) if your skin is struggling with sensitivity, congestion, breakouts, textures... it likely means that your hydrolipidic film is struggling. So can you please stop stripping it even more? Thank you!
If you struggle with knowing what to do for your skin and if it's all in the too hard basket, please slide into my DMs, I'd love nothing more than to help you out!

A love letter to the women in my life. 🥰

Starting with Georgi. Pelvic Floor Movement Specialist

I am surrounded by astonishing women, and I think we often underestimate the impact we have on each other’s lives. Sooooo, since words of affirmation is my top love language, I figured I’d write about it. Share it.

Because I miss the days when Instagram was about sharing the things you love, without selling you something. I know it organically came from us commenting on each other’s posts « where did you get that thing from? » but still...

I run a business and yes, my Instagram is here for that too. But I believe there is room for everyone at the top. And I think we could all do with a little bit more love. ❤️

Today, as my life is asking soooo much of me and I have all of the feels, I have the empathy and the knowledge about my cycle, my body, my mood, to know that there is nothing wrong with me, that I’ll feel better once my period arrives.

I used to think I was crazy for having one day where all I do is cry and want to close my business. Thanks to Georgi and what we learned together during the Inner Season, I no longer feel like I am losing the plot… so I wanted to honour her.

Swipe to read her story. 💌

I built and I am still building my business, one brick at a time. It’s always a balancing act between : You need to be mapping out the next step to “remember that where you’re at today is where you dreamt of being when you started”.

And training with Olga Newman | Facial Longevity + Jaw Release has been a dream for so long… and now it’s happening !

So, as I am taking a minute to stop and smell the roses…

Believe me when I say that bringing Face Up to the Cocoon is a dream come true.

My current clients have been waiting for this for as long as I have been!

So… I am stoked to announce that in October, Face Up sessions will be available !

Comment “I am in” and I’ll send you the link to the waitlist when I see your comment !

In a world where women are told what they are and what they ought to be, women often end up disconnected.
From themselves, from their desire, their pleasure, a lot of women end up feeling “numb”.

Inviting to talk about pleasure, desire and being alive… well it felt like a no brainer. She is a woman I admire hugely, for how connected, attuned and alive she is. If I am honest, I probably want to be a little bit like her when I grow up! 💖

After a year of studying somatic life coaching and nervous system regulation, watching Kate Marie’s social and bumping into her at event has been beautifully expansive and a permission slip for myself, to be curious, to live, to find pleasure, to stop justifying what feels good or not.

I wanted to invite her in Bubble so that the Bubblette who may not have come accross her yet could bathe in her aura, in her aliveness and I am soooo stoked she said yes.

It’s Tuesday Evening! And I can’t wait 💖

I am nearly done with the line up of guest experts for the next 12-months and it will be so goooood 😍

Have you been here since the Quésaco Series was a thing?
Before 2023, every Thursday was "education day" on stories and the Quésaco Series was born

Quésaco is a colloquial, slightly humorous French expression meaning "what is that?" or "what is this all about?"... also know as the "HUH?" that you'd say to a friend.

I though it was time to bring the series back and today we are starting with translucent powder. Now... I am a firm believer that the only form of stupid question there is are the the question we did not ask.
So in this series, I'll be answering questions I get asked by my clients on a regular basis, and this is one of them.

Translucent powder is a sheer, colourless facial powder usually used to set makeup, control shine or fully mattify a base makeup. It is not used to cover or add colour.

Pro tip: Avoid if you have a deep skin tone, it will make you look ashy, instead go for pigmented powdered, as close to your skintone as possible

Clean Beauty tip: Make sure it is talc free.
Talc can clog pores and cannot be guaranteed to be asbestos free

See you in the next one and if that's your vibe... follow for more.

Sources on the last slide. 📑

This probably should be a blog post, but here we are. The first post I saw today was by Brianne West whom I admire hugely… (and what a stress to tag her 🫣 calling out industry marketing terms like « clean. » And I couldn’t not respond. Because she is right.

Calling my account « Clean Beauty with Amélie » was actually one of my biggest hesitations starting out. And yet, the reality is that « clean » is what my clients search for. If that’s how you find me, and it gives me the privilege to empower you to read labels, do the heavy lifting of reading the studies (damn, it takes me forever!), and help you get your favourite skin/makeup yet… I’ll take that name.

I was raised by a bio-chemist mom where only hard, sourced work meant something. Anything you finished was « a good start. » Oh, you read it in the newspaper? Cute, did you check the encyclopedia?

That’s how I was taught to search for information. Paper encyclopedias, dictionaries, scientific papers… I even had an entire year of university lessons dedicated purely to source credibility when I was studying journalism and communication.

My account is so much more than « clean”; how I work is sourced. (Now that I know that « science-backed » has no legal standing either, so « sourced » it is! Thank you Brianne).

I have the immense privilege of having on-demand access to a bio-chemistry teacher (Hi Mum!) and spend waaaay longer than I care to admit down PubMed rabbit holes.

There’s the cliché of the « crunchy » practitioner telling you to throw your entire routine in the bin and rub beef tallow on your face. And then there’s me.

I stand by the word clean because that’s how you find me AND I will always bring you a nuanced, real-life education that meets you where you’re at.

My new website is coming soon… and it is going to be so gooooood!

So if you’re into SOURCED information in a completely brand-agnostic space, you’re going to love it here.
Follow Along.

Ps: shout out to the Clean + Conscious Awards for the amazing work that they do 🥰💖

And i hope hope you all enjoy this… it took iver 3 hours to write 😂, which were bot forecasted in lu schedule today 💪

Vitamin C is one of the most researched ingredients in skincare. Collagen production, brightening, fades pigmentation, antioxidant protection, barrier support, improved texture, faster healing… the list is is extensive and there is very little not to love about Vitamin C... and yet

For a lot of people with sensitive or sensitised skin, their experience with vitamin C is: redness, stinging, and skin that feels more reactive by morning. So they start avoiding it, eventually give up on it entirely, and it makes me sad... because the ingredient itself is so gooooood. The form can be the issue.

Traditional vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) is water-soluble, highly active, and notoriously unstable. It oxidises quickly, drops in pH, and for sensitised skin it can be too much to handle.

Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate is different. It's oil-soluble, which means it penetrates differently, works more gently, and doesn't bring that morning sensitivity with it. You get all the brightening and repair benefits overnight, without the inflammation the next day.

It's the form Petra from .beauty and I chose to put in Rise to Radiance, our overnight treatment, specifically because I have reactive skin and I wasn't willing to compromise on results to avoid irritation. I wanted both.

Rise to Radiance won two first places at the Beauty Shortlist Awards this year: Best Night Cream Age 50+ and Best Night Cream Age 60+. (trust me in my 30s to be co-creating a product for much more mature skin 😂)

the fact that this product won two categories tells you something about who it actually works for, and how well... and how beautiful this collaboration between Petra and I has been.

If vitamin C has ever irritated your skin, it might not be vitamin C. It might just be the wrong form... maybe it's time to try Rise to Radiance ❤️

Share this with one of your friends who's always saying her skin needs more loce
