Let’s talk grey blending! Hairdressing has come a long way in the last few years - say goodbye to that harsh stripe of regrowth, and hello to a softer more diffused grow out 🙌

Two of our favourite options at the moment are:

1. Super fine highlights and lowlights, tailored to work with with your natural growth pattern (eg whiter around the face, darker salt and pepper, etc) and a toner to achieve your desired look, whether it is blonde, beige, or ashy tones.

2. Using a semi/demi permanent colour rather than a traditional permanent. You’ll still get grey coverage, but think of it more as a lipgloss rather than a lipstick - it’ll be a more dimensional result with highlights and lowlights, rather than a solid block colour. This will give you a much softer blended growout!

📢 Things to remember when starting your grey blending journey:

* It will be a process! Especially when we are trying to lighten out years of old colour. Be patient and trust the process (and your stylist 😉)

* Everyone’s hair fades warm. EVERYONE’S 😅 We will do our absolute best with toners and cooler colours, but your hair will always fade to a warmer colour over time. We can advise you on what products you can use at home to get the best results, but it’s not a one and done process - there will still be a bit of maintenance required if you want to keep those ashy cooler tones.

* You don’t have to commit to grey! If you get there and you don’t actually like the grey hair, it is so easy to tweak it and find a colour that feels like you. Sometimes grey hair can wash you out, so you might want to experiment with makeup, wearing brighter colours, or a bit of fake tan (or an overseas holiday ☀️) and everyone’s grey is completely different, so we are here to help you find your perfect low maintenance colour.

✨ HOURS UPDATE ✨

There’s been a bit of confusion about our opening hours since we closed the retail store and moved to 23 Devon Street West.

We are currently a mixed team of staff and sole operators who rent a chair, with only Simone and Kim working full time hours.

Hayley currently works a late night Thursday, Simone works every second Monday, and Kim and Simone work every second Saturday (by appointment only).

Tuesday to Friday are a mixture of staff and hours which differ from week to week - so if you are wanting a specific day or time, we recommend that you message us on social media, or call us on 759 0011 (you may need to leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can).

Please double check your text reminders to ensure that you’re coming at the correct time, and let us know as soon as possible if you can’t make that appointment, as we are always running a cancellation list.
