Public holidays can be a good opportunity to fit in an appointment when weekday appointments don't work for you. That’s why we offer appointments on public holidays, as well as evenings and weekends.

If you’ve been meaning to book a consultation but haven’t quite found a time that works, we may be able to fit you in over the long weekend.

It's Spring and the suns out, don’t forget your SPF!

Not just for beach days either. If you’re heading out for a walk, having a coffee or spending time outside, your skin is still getting UV exposure.

A good SPF is one of the easiest things you can do to look after your skin, so make it part of your daily routine.

“Does anti-wrinkle treatment hurt?”

This is another question we get asked a lot.

The short answer is, for most people, not really. The injections use a very fine needle and the actual treatment is usually over pretty quickly.

You might feel a small pinch with each injection, and some areas can be a little more sensitive than others. You may also have some mild redness or small bumps at the injection points afterwards, but these generally settle fairly quickly.

Everyone has a different tolerance for needles, so what feels like a tiny pinch to one person can feel a bit more noticeable to someone else.

It’s a relaxed way to spend an afternoon with your people, and if you’ve got friends who have been curious about treatments but haven’t known where to start, they can meet Tony, ask questions and have a chat without any pressure.

Planning for an event? Timing matters more than you might think.

With summer weddings, Christmas functions and family photos coming up, now is a good time to think about any treatments you might be considering.

As a general guide:

Anti-wrinkle treatment
Allow around 3 - 4 weeks before an event. Results can take two weeks to fully settle, and this also allows time for a review if needed.

Profhilo®
A course involves two treatments, four weeks apart, so allow around 2 - 3 months.

RF Microneedling
This is usually done as a series of treatments, so ideally start at least three months before your event.

The takeaway? Give yourself plenty of time. Starting early allows your treatment to settle and gives you time to achieve the result you're looking for before your event.

Preventative or corrective? They’re not quite the same conversation.

Preventative treatment is about slowing the development of lines that aren’t yet deeply established. It generally involves lighter, less frequent treatment, which is why some people choose to start before lines become more noticeable.

Corrective treatment is about softening lines that are already visible, particularly when the face is at rest. Established lines can take more time and sometimes a combination of treatments to improve, rather than disappearing overnight.

Neither approach is better. It really comes down to where your skin is now, the lines you’re noticing, and what you’re hoping to achieve.

A consultation is about working out what makes sense for you. Tony will always give you his honest recommendation.
