What causes poor lash retention?

One of the biggest misconceptions is that lash retention is only affected by aftercare. While aftercare is important, there are actually many factors that can influence how long your extensions last.

𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬
Hormones can affect your natural lash growth cycle. Pregnancy, menopause, thyroid conditions, and even certain times of the month can all impact retention.

𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
Some medications can change the way your lashes grow or how your skin produces oil, which may affect how well your extensions stay attached.

Natural oils and oil-based skincare products can weaken the adhesive over time, causing extensions to shed sooner.
