🎨 BROW COLOUR CORRECTION — WHY ORANGE?!

These brows were originally tattooed by me in 2020. Over time, cosmetic tattoo pigment naturally changes as it fades and interacts with the undertones in the skin.
So when my client came back, the question wasn’t “How do we cover this?”
It was “How do we bring the colour back into balance?”

And yes… that involved ORANGE! 🧡

Rather than immediately removing the old pigment, I used a neutraliser first to correct the unwanted cool/ashy tone.
Think of colour correction a little like placing a sheet of coloured cellophane over another colour. The colours visually interact with each other — and, when the correct neutralising tone is chosen, they bring the overall result back towards the colour we want.

Once I’d neutralised the old pigment, I mixed a small amount of the neutraliser into her original brow colour to recreate a warmer shade that complements her beautiful red-based hair.

✨ Why not remove the old tattoo first?
Because in this case, it simply wasn’t necessary.

Good cosmetic tattooing isn’t always about adding more pigment or starting again. Sometimes it’s about understanding colour theory, what remains in the skin, and how to rebalance it.
