At 62, I’ve learned the best time to build is when your body still finds it easy.

In your 30s, your body says yes to almost everything. Strength comes readily, you bounce back fast, and good habits take root without much of a fight. That’s when to lay the foundations.

To me at 32: Lift something heavy. Eat properly: enough protein, good fats, a plate full of colour. Protect your sleep. You’re not building for now. You’re building for 62.

To me at 42: Don’t stop now. Things start shifting this decade. Keep the strength you’ve built, keep nourishing your body, and let go of the quick fixes. Consistency beats intensity every time.

To me at 52: It’s not too late. It just takes a little more intention. Keep moving, keep lifting, look after your skin from the inside out, and be kinder to yourself than you were at 32.

Build while it’s easy. Maintain when it takes effort. Nourish always.
